Is there a timescale that determines your 'newbieness' depending on whether you are here as a single man, single woman, tv/ts or couple?

I'd say a newbie is someone who is new to the swinging world, awaiting experience? It's not necessarily related to being verified on here, or how active they are as a swinger, after they have had meets etc then I suppose they're no longer newbies, at least in my eyes?

What's your thoughts Bambi?

I posted this after seeing a comment from someone telling the OP he was not a newbie as he had been on site 5 months. That made me think.

I was more thinking of time on site without taking veris into consideration and whether it made a difference depending on your status (sm/sf etc.)

We still class our selves as newbies. As we still crap our selves at meets. Still not sure on certain etiquette etc but still try to have fun any ways

Experience rather than time on site. You could still be a newbie after 5 months if you've not had a meet/social etc

I wouldn't call someone with 63 verifications and being on here over a year a newbie!

so for you time on site alone is not a criteria, it is more to do with time combined with veri! Have i got this right?

I would have said a combination of both.

"When they have a GUM reference number."

can you elaborate your thought?

When someone has registered at the local clinic, they are obviously taking the lifestyle seriously and are looking out for their own, and their play mates sexual health. Until that time I would consider them a "toe dipper", I won't play with people who don't know what a GUM is!

You can never go by length of time on site.

Some 'newbies' have been here dozens of times before!

I think it's irrelevant how long they may have been on the site.

They could have been on 6 months, had one meet and not experimented with other aspects such as clubs/parties etc.

For me a newbie who is someone who is still finding their feet with their experiences and still establishing what they are looking for from this lifestyle.

I'm sorry I must agree, being on over a year isn't the relevant bit but with the amount of meet verifications you have I would never class you as newbies.

You've obviously done more then dipping your toe and that would suggest to me that you're fully aware of what you want from the site/scene.

I agree to this. I class myself as a newbie after 5 months. I have had meets and each time new experiences. I know what I am looking for from this lifestyle , pushing my boundaries and being comfortable with who I am and what I like. Which I have achieved and keep on achieving I hope.

We consider ourselves as newbies as we are yet to play with another couple

Although been on the site a while we get little play time and are so nervous about meets which is why we joined a club as we have no pressure and can take things slow

We have only watched and been watched so I'd say we are newbies

I have been on here 18 months and have been privileged to experience new sensations and meet some wonderful people. I have 87 veris but most are from social meets. There is still a lot i want to discover about the lifestyle, myself, my boundaries...maybe in that respect I am still a newbie compAred to others who have been on the scene for much longer.
