Aw going out of my mind right now!

My parents thoughts they had a van secured for my move tomorrow, dad goes to collect it and they then tell him they want £150 deposit, which he doesnt and I most definitely dont have!

B&Q went hire out on a Sunday and the other places want an arm and leg, van & man are charging nearly £50 per hr all i need a lot longer than that!!

Anyone in Cheshire with a long transit (pref cleanish in back) want to hire it out for a few hours tomorrow!

I think you will be very hard pushed to get a van without any form of security

My dad could give them a cheque as he will have the funds on Monday but they wont take it!

Just annoyed that the people who gave him the quote could miss out telling you about an extra £150

In absolute heap of tears right now

Have a look online for a man and a van. If he's driving his own van you probably won't have to pay a deposit.

I did all the above then a little angel popped up! An ex police officer near my parents has leant my dad his van for £30 (dad is also ex police) he has it now and doesnt have to return it til Monday!

Not sure who is looking out for me but someone certainly is and I have never been so grateful in my life

that's great! just watch that none of his old pals pull him cos its still in someone elses name and the 'not for hire or reward' clause kicks in, if hes ex forces he will be fine though! but remember a motor cannot have 2 lots of insurance running on it
