Thanks!

Always add fresh ground pepper and English mustard

Will try some Worcester sauce, no Tabasco but do have some pickled chillies and of course chilli vinegar, will try adding a little for extra bite

...Up on the Downs

If you eat carbs do half macaroni half cauliflower - works a treat!

And always put loads more cheese on top for a good crust.

I'd have thought cauliflower ears would taste better than cauliflower cheese

Northampton

always leave the cauli out after boiling to let the steam escape and stop the cheese sauce going runny in the oven

add mustard (as already said)

when putting in the oven, grate an onion to mix with the cheese sprinkled on top

Oooh, now you have my attention. I love it with garlic & herb roast potatoes.

For the sauce though, I use a packet of Colman's Four Cheese Sauce mixed in with half a teaspoon of mustard powder and a dash of paprika. Extra mature Cheddar is grated on top prior to returning to the top shelf of the grill (as opposed to the oven) and the job's a good 'un

near kings lynn

Just had some for tea.

Now as I am feeling grotty with a cold I cheated. A bought tesco macaroni cheese and some tesco frozen cauli cheese. Put a few florets into a dish (sauce already on it during freezing process) then cook.

Did it with a few peas. The good news is I ate something as been off my food a bit.
