What are the views of fans or footy fans in general.I personally think they are doomed, watched there game at Southampton on tv last week and they are appalling,is it Ashley,Pardew or just a mix of both that are making them so so bad. Im a Gateshead F.C by the way but love to follow the English premier league ,which I feel they wont be part of in the very near future

Haven't a clue aboot the Toon but are you gonna pop along and watch the 'Fax whilst you're in the area? Best season they're having since about 1971.

It reminds me of the start of last season with Sunderland. Complete disarray, no tactics, dodgy signings. Hopefully it gets sorted. I'm a Sunderland fan but prefer to have them in the same league as us.

Re: Gateshead FC they have had a great start to the season, I really think they can get promoted this year, Lost their best player Maddison but Wright is banging them in.

I may be taking my gaffer to watch NUFC in the next few months. It's ok getting paid to watch a match there, but I struggle to sleep as everyone makes such a racket.

I totally agree, most fans love their club with a passion, some get bigger gates than others,Newcastle seem to want to make things as painful for their fans as possible,Maybe Ashley should open up an S & M Club, seems to have a knack for humiliation and pain

In former times, mid war an' strife,

The French invasion threatened life,

An' all was armed to the knife,

The Fishermen hung the Monkey O!

The Fishermen wi' courage high,

Seized on the Monkey for a spy,

"Hang him" says yen, says another,"He'll die!"

They did, and they hung the Monkey O!.

They tortor'd the Monkey till loud he did squeak

Says yen, "That's French," says another "it's Greek"

For the Fishermen had got d*unky, O!

"He's all ower hair!" sum chap did cry,

E'en up te summic cute an' sly

Wiv a cod's head then they closed an eye,

Afore they hung the Monkey O!

Ok I will ask the question.

If they do sack Pardew, who would replace him,I for one think it won't be anyone that could achieve or has achieved more in football, I can't see any 1/2 decent manager wanting to work under Ashley with not 1 but both hands tied behind is back, who with an once of sense would put is career on line to work for Ashley

After they have done with the club any manager will get a job elsewhere...i personally know Bruce was offered job in the summer but the wage on offer is only half of what Hull pay him...there lies the problem

I think Bruce has done a fantastic job at Hull even if he was offered more money than he was on at Hull I don't think he would have came, it's more about the financial problems on transfers and being allowed some say on who comes and who goes, and Pardew has no say on those issues

yep, it was 100% hall, maybe douglas was in on it too, the thing with newcastle at the minute is, in the past they have had chairmans that were quite happy to plunge the club into debt, to get results on the pitch, paying top dollar to attract players in the likes of ginola, asprillia and the likes, that didnt hang around long, whereas now you have a business like chairman, that has taken your club out of debt and runs it on a level, it doesnt look so good, and the fans dont like it because they have been spoilt with the carefree "lets throw money at it" even if we havent got it attitude of the sheperd era, alot of supporters will bite at this without even thinking about it, because thats the newcastle way, "ya cannat talk aboot oor toon" but many others will actually agree.

Spoilt lol, I don't think spoilt is the word you can use, yes I agree to certain things your saying, but Ashley is the owner if the club who has No ambition, you can't expect to win anything if your not wiling to invest In quality players, once again we are becoming a selling club, buy cheap and sell expensive all well and good if he was to invest in better players.

But as I have stated he won't allow the. Manager to manage the club or have any say on who comes and who goes.

Ashley is happy to just stay in the premier league and be guaranteed big payouts at the end of the season.

"Ok I will ask the question.

I agree, it's a poison chalice - & it hasn't been just since Ashley arrived, either!!!

In all my time as a newcastle fan, I have never known any board not to back the manager with money or not allow him to manage the football team, maybe Lord Westwood may have come close to Ashley

.......and then there was Shepherd, - didn't he order the club to order the 'replica' shirts to be made on the cheap & nasty, & to sell them to the fans for top dollar? ........& were the fans' banners reading; 'Geordies go home'???

also the "great" john hall that slagged newcastle women off.

Think you will find it was actually his Son Douglas who done the slagging

It certainly was not ha ha, there is actual video footage of john hall slagging off newcastle and its women.Deluded makem your so wrong your making an arse of yourself...go do your homework"

Firstly I dont see any need to resort to calling names, secondly I am far from deluded, I may support the red and white side of the north east but I dont have a deep venomous hatred for anything that isnt red and white, I am very realistic and thirdly, how on earth can I be wrong and making an arse out of myself when at the time there was a clear video showing sheperd and hall in a refreshed state slating newcastle and its women, the reason its probably not able to be found today is that money goes along way to cover things up and hide things.

Was there well that is news to me I can recall Douglas and Freddy doing this while on club business, but not John hall, however ever as I said they still backed there manager unlike Ashley

yep, it was 100% hall, maybe douglas was in on it too, the thing with newcastle at the minute is, in the past they have had chairmans that were quite happy to plunge the club into debt, to get results on the pitch, paying top dollar to attract players in the likes of ginola, asprillia and the likes, that didnt hang around long, whereas now you have a business like chairman, that has taken your club out of debt and runs it on a level, it doesnt look so good, and the fans dont like it because they have been spoilt with the carefree "lets throw money at it" even if we havent got it attitude of the sheperd era, alot of supporters will bite at this without even thinking about it, because thats the newcastle way, "ya cannat talk aboot oor toon" but many others will actually agree.

"

I used the word spoilt as in the players thats gone through the books, ginola, asprillia, etc, although paid over the odds they were once newcastle players, and thats what im saying alot of fans these days want to see players like that signing again, we all would for our own teams, but the point I was making was at the time sheperd was spending money they didnt have, plunging the club into debt after debt after debt, whereas ashley has cleared that debt and running the club on a level without putting it in debt, I totally agree he doesnt let managers manage, I mean that dennis wise appointment was a joke and then joe kinnear wtf was all that about.

Yes money does go along to prevent stories being printed, however that is normally done prior to a story being printed not after and if it was that easy would Douglas and Freddy not have done the same,as I said goigle is a handy thing and yet there us no coverage of John Hall saying such things

covering up = paying someone money to cover up something hes done, or make something dissappear, cover all tracks, hide all evidence.

exactly, I never wanted an argument, I have many friends from the red and white side and the black and white side and we often have lengthy conversations about all things red and white and black and white, so im more than capable of having a decent conversation about the subject, I dont like deliberately rude and provocative people though that cant have a conversation and just look for an argument.

"Whoever they get will just be Ashleys Yes man unfortunately"

Fans want rid of Ashley who has stopped Newcastle from going under when in championship, seen off pardew cause he was part of that cockney mafia.

Finally get a Newcastle bred lad who understands the club (erm how is he getting on?)

Reminds me of the many many scousers crying out for someone to take charge who understands the club n the fans n the city.... In walked king kenny to deliver zero success and spent £35m on Carroll m £8 on Charlie Adam.

Newcastle fans are know as over demanding and never happy what ever success they have on the pitch their attitude doesn't allow breathing space for players n managers to succeed if they don't Geordies (champions league footy providing bobby robson sacked when had a bad start to a season).

It's a saga that will rumble on until they finally get a Newcastle owner and end up like Leeds n Forrest languishing in the championship as a sleeping giant zzzz.

Used to be a season ticket holder when Bobby Robson was in charge. The club is a pitiful shadow now compared to those halcyon days and doubt they'll ever see those days again.

They're doomed this season I think. There's too much rot set in there now at all levels. Can't see how this club can ever be rescued back to its former glory.

Same with Derby, they were the only team we beat all season "

blimey a year later we are nearly back to square one again at derby with teams we should be getting results with its been either draws occasionally losses, or the odd win well thats what it feels like and teams like QPR or forest I feel derby are out of their league even with rotherham comeing up on tuesday if derby pull it off against these teams darren wassel will think the gods are looking over him, derby have a wonderful fan base with about 300 short of 30,000 at the Ipro today to see derby get a precious 3 points against huddesfield with a 2:1 win but it was not a easy game and that was Disappointing as have so many games been this season thou derby had their best side out on the field in the second half. ... but to see great teams take a massive nose dive from their former glory years is sad indeed like with newcastle united and any loyality the fans had with the management will be tested indeed for any new management in the future, football can be a cruel game in many ways derbys suffered similar in the recent past but their fans are forever loyal which speaks volumes.
