circumcision recovery time

Last week, I had a circumcision done (the anesthetic wore off during... OUCH!) and I was just wondering what the average recovery time was and how long it would be before normal service could continue? I ask because my GP seems to have no idea at all!

I would have thought as long as you feel able to without pain

Use protection though because you will still be fertile for a while

Wait until it looks healed and feels good, then ask your GP again, just my opinion and no skin off my nose if it's no good to you

For me it's been nearly 30 years.

Had it done when I was a little boy. Never quite got over the emotional scaring that a little piece of me has gone forever!!

It was a couple of weeks before I could have a 'play' and about 4 weeks for me to heal. Stitches disappeared between 5-6 wks in and I was fully recovered by 6wks. Not the happiest period in my life I must admit as I was circumcised about six months back but surgeons made a pukka job and its loads better than before I was cut xx its definitely worth it (in my humble opinion) and sex is awesome now

It can be 6 weeks, but my hubby had this last year and it was about 3 months before sex was no longer uncomfortable for him, even with a condom on.

I was 4 or 5 years old when I had mine done, so don't really feel I'm in a position to comment on how long after the op you should give it to have sex.

Personally, I left it around 17 to 18 years, lol
