just been having a lie down ,when i heard knock on door ,postie with a parcel ,so i opened door she said do you know the girl next door ? (she has moved out ) ye i replies she is a home carer look she;s at that house there ,pointing to her car outside ,postie says can you take it to her as we,re not allowed yes i replied and did so ,only its not her so what do i do with the parcel now ???

Return it to your local post office. Just make sure you get a receipt for it.

He shouldn't have left it with you if she's moved. Even if she still comes back to visit/work.

If it's a regular postie you could wait untill tomorrow and hand it back to her or like others said just take it down to the post office whatever is easier for you

thanks i wont see her tomorrow as iwill be at work when she comes round but its no big deal taking it to the po as i can go there when i go out with my dogs in a bit xx

Don't tell them he left it with you because he knew she had moved, you could get him the sack and all he was trying to do was be helpful.

Just say it was posted by mistake, or if it's too big, just say you both never noticed (he might still get in trouble, but wont lose his job over it)

Don't forget to put a return address on the dogs, just in case they get lost in the post

i handed it to the po then as i was waking to the fields past some houses saw the post lady ,and told her i had handed it in as it wasnt the girl we thought ,she said i will get it back or i will get into trouble for leaving it with you ,then she says must be the new people that have moved in so i said no-one has moved in yet ,so not sure who its for xx
