"Well, it looks like MPs of all main parties in Westminster have rejected the three leaders' vow to continue with the Barnett formula, stating they will block it and kill it. So, the famous "vow" is broken already. Less than 48 hours after it was published, DevoMax is dead and off the table - just in time for folks to cast their votes oblivious to this fact... well what a surprise! Surely this tells you all you need to know about the DevoMax con and the idea that you're "better together" under the governance of the very people who pulled this stunt on you. It was only another empty promise they never intended to keep in order to stop you smashing their corrupt system. If they were genuine, Scotland would already have these extra powers - so why are you not already better together? Make no mistake... if you vote NO, there will be no DevoMax - no extra powers - nothing will change - you'll just get more of the same and you'll only have yourselves to blame. There's a growing body of opinion in Westminster that Scotland needs to be put in its place and no longer given "freebies" - summed up by one MP who said: "If and when the Scots 'bottle it' on 18th September and vote no, they will see a stronger English voice because the people of England have had enough of Scottish self-indulgence." Don't buy the Westminster machine's con yet again - don't bottle it - hold your nerve and vote YES... feel the fear, face it down and trust in your own abilities - you'll be amazed at what you're capable of. Good luck from a friend south of the border! " If i had a vote it would definitely be YES... Good luck to my countrymen and women. .. Do the right thing today and make history! Vin...

"Passport controls work in both directions. An iScotland may decide not to impose them but if rUK does, it has the same effect - and vice versa." Very unlikely to happen. UK can't run the border controls it has now. Just as the currency union won't happen.

If Scotland wants to join the EU it will have to sign the Schengen agreement. That will mean that iScotland will have no border controls between itself and all other states in the Schengen zone, which is most other EU members. rUK is not a Schengen signatory so the border to Scotland will have to be the same as the existing border to France (minus the water of course)

"According to a website, #voteyes, #yesscotland and #voteyesscotland are trending more on Twitter." Bit like facebook, lots of noise creates lots of links. The robots on the servers then push more links and 'suggestions'. A no voter, I had the suggestions that I might like to follow "Nicola Sturgeon","Alex Salmond" & "Wings over Bath" on my face book page.

"I was totally unprepared for the strong wave of emotion I felt today. I love my country, always have, always will. I'm beyond proud to be Scottish. From the mountains to the sea and everywhere in between, it's resources human, natural, industrial and cultural. Its people....strong, steadfast, humourous, generous and couthy. So today...I donned my Tammy and my Scottie dog brooch and gathered with my wee family. We shared a dram together and then walked in procession to our village hall to vote. The young ones in front.. their lives just beginning, besotted with each other and the growing "bump"... my unborn grandchild, our salute to the future. Us oldies dawdled along behind. An overwhelming sense of responsibility, a huge decision...but my belief is you can only go with your heart, whatever side of the fence you are on. I fear for the land I love.....fear the repercussions of our decision today whatever it may be. But my faith in Scotland and its people will always remain. On my return home, the first thing to catch my eye was a painting I have in my hall bearing these words .... " In this space we stand, our future an unknown and ever changing land. Our past like a shadow across the sand, all you've been and all you've done, the children and all that they will become."......and the tears came. Here's tae us, what's like us... I said NO...as did my heart" Brilliant. I enjoyed reading that. The best thing I've read about the debate on here.

"First things first, I voted yes. I want a country (and I mean the UK here) that cares for the majority of people that live here instead of the minority of very very rich, that looks outwards, is progressive is European, is positive instead of being insular, narrow minded, fearful, suspicious. There seems to be some sort of feeling that it's an anti English thing. Let me assure you it isn't, far from . Anyone that's been to Scotland will tell you we are like every other part of Britain I've been to, are friendly, welcoming, social people but here's the rub. We don't as a rule vote for a certain political party because of the way they tend to act towards us, so how do we address that. Answer, govern ouourselves. Now tonight, I don't think this is going to happen, but we've been vowed to that we're to get more as yet undefined powers. Quite rightly, the politicians representing the other parts of the country will say yer not on so once again we're being lied to. One way or another this is undoubtedly true. Anyway the point of my long winded post is this. Scotland will not I think become separate tonight but Britain as a whole will undoubtedly change. I hope it's for the good. For us ALL!!" I totally disagree with Scotland been given any more devolved powers, I'm whole heartedly against it. we have a democratically elected government that represent the whole country.....we should all be governed the same.

For us ALL!! " But that's what I said isn't it? Ask most people from any part of the country (UK) whether they're happy with their lot and I think you'll get a resounding no. There's a massive imbalance in Britain and it needs addressing.

"Scotland already do better out of the Barnett formula anyway. Their MP's also get to vote on English only issues too." And the big selling point for the No vote from the 3 leaders of the main parties was to keep that. Of course that's wrong and if we were independent then obviously that would be no more

" Their MP's also get to vote on English only issues too." Aye, and so did, and do, English ones on Scottish matters. For centuries. Not enough of ours to make the slightest difference, anyway, so what are you moaning about? Or do you just not like it now that the boot's on the other foot?

"An Englishman and an Irish man walk into a pub. "Line 'em up!" shouts the Englishman cheerfully. "You two seem happy" Says the barman. "Indeed, we've managed to ditch that tight fisted cunt of a scotch twat" the Irishman gleefully proclaims. It's a joke, no offence taken -------- Friend sent me this, so if it offends you, don't blame me "

"How about Guess supporters abusing my brother and his family in Perth for daring to put a BT flag in his window? Or Guess supporters burning the Union flag in George Square?a tolerant and inclusive society.aye pish. " I'd have to say that stuff like that makes my blood boil, I could only put that down to numerics of which the whole country has plenty of. But hey, do we stay the same or do we not at least attempt to have positive real change as I said for ALL

I agree, I voted yes but the result is final, any talk of betrayal or unpatriotic is just adults who should know better conducting themselves like sulking little brats. Show some respect please.

"thats 19000 plus folks that have gone and betrayed their country , not good , not good at all I suppose you will give your definition of betrayal then at some point perhaps?" Or maybe it's 19000 people who believe that Independence is not in Scotlands best interests and perhaps each of those people may feel that 16000 people have betrayed their country.

"thats 19000 plus folks that have gone and betrayed their country , not good , not good at all" ....this is exactly why I fear for my country. I want the very best for Scotland and our friends and neighbours and my personal belief is that together we are better. If in your eyes, that makes me a traitor then I'm relieved not to share your _iews on the democratic process. Quite literally, gies peace!
