Marmite and teacakes

Okay, Marmite, love it or hate it?

I love it, especially on cheese sarnies.

Oh and whilst I am here, the teacake debate.

Originally from Yorkshire, I use to get a chip teacake from the chippy. Now this is a large bread bun.

Heathens amongst us seem to think a teacake is a bun with currants etc in it! Now whats that all about it.

Noooo, they are totally different!! It's not marshmallow that's in them, it's cream & there's no yucky jam in the middle.... OMG I need a Tunnocks Teacake right now!!! lol

Oh & as for Marmite.. I can safely say it is the most disgusting thing I have ever put in my mouth!!

Marmite is one of those things that's grown on me... I love it on toast with melted cheese!

As for bread-y things, for me it was always the 'breadcake' (according to my original home town of Hull), 'barmcake' when in Manchester (WTF is a barm?), or 'teacakes' in West Yorkshire which is just totally wrong if you ask me... Surely a teacake contains currants? Wrong, West Yorkshire! Wrong!

Put chips anywhere near any kind of bread product, from North, Sarrrf, East or West and it has to be called a Chip Buttie. Pure and simple.
