With all due respect, and I mean this in the nicest possible way - F*** Off!

Seriously though, no offence intended.

You might have guessed, no, I'm not a fan of Christmas. As an Atheist, I feel hypocritical about celebrating it, and this feeling has grown stronger in recent years.

Last year I actually specifically asked people NOT to get me anything. Of course, as a father of two young children, I can't get away with not celebrating it at all, as it wouldn't be fair on them, so I do make sure that they can enjoy the Christmas experience when they come and stay with me.

They do know my personal feelings on it and for kids of 8 and 6 are pretty understanding and mature about it.

Yes i love it, im a parent and my child is born xmas eve..

its just a time of the year to be surrounded by joy, bright colours, music, great food and awesome friends..

snuggling down on cold nights with films and nibbles..

Im not religious but have educated my daughter to the nativity and they are just stories to her right now with no real meaningful significance

to most children in early primary school im guessing its an exciting time for gifts from family and the magic that is santa claus

I also love christmas time, i was born in December so get three partis in the same month, Birthday, Christmas and then New Year.

Great time for meeting up with family and friends, lots of shopping (if you like that sort of thing?) time off work, parties and booze, whats not to like about it, lol.

However its too early to talk about it now, i don't get into the christmas spirit until December 1st at the earliest!

same really i dont have a set time to be in the mood i kinda just feel it.. weather conditions, music on the radio, the final pay day before..

last year i was very excited as we went to Butlins with family and it was special..

this year i have my home back to being a home.. and my munchkin is bound to want to fill it with home made decorations. Also hoping for a 1st nativity play

Christmas is fine if you've got young kids. To me its just a load of over hyped commercialism

I'd rather skip it. I can't stand the constant advertising, ramming it down your throats, in your face hype. I'm not religious so hold no beliefs that make me want to celebrate Christmas.

Roll on December the 27th then it's done with for another year.

Bah humbug!

Bleh hate it 300 and odd days waiting for Xmas and then 11 days after for my birthday. Never got owt good as a kid as I got everything Christmas. And nothing new came out until week or two after my bday. Being a Capricorn baby blows and not in a good way.

Which is why for my last birthday I treated my self to three meets on the night of my bday then one morning after before a work out session at the gym!!
