Too many these days, recently lost really close friend to this and several family members over the years.

If I ever get it I'll decide when my body has had enough, why should cancer get the right to torture people and decide when it's finished with you. Not me! My body my rules.

I'm not the one suffering but I have empathy for those that are. Life goes on for the rest of us

Sorry to hear about your friend's partner. It's a horrid illness. Friends are always a great support at times like this.

I've lost both parents (my Dad was only 34) and my aunt to it, treatments are improving all the time. We are lucky here to have the Cobalt Unit at Cheltenham General which is a centre of excellence for cancer treatment. However it still takes far too many people and many at far too young an age.

Do so sorry to here this. I lost my best friend 13 yrs ago and my dad 16 yrs ago. I only finished treatment a while back for my cancer but a routine check up has detected some abnormal cells again. Had biopsy last werk and mow awaiting results.

I find it hard that I had cancer in my late 30's and got cured, I know there are differant types of cancer but I often ask why?

Why do so many still die of it?

Why arem't we doing more to stop it.

I recently found out a friend had cancer a few years ago, had the op, the chemo & radiotherapy. Now it has come back and it is terminal, the worse bit is for what do I say to her.

A very close family member of ours has just had a large prostrate tumour removed . . Fingers crossed they got it all. . But 6 weeks to find that out is a joke!(still waiting). . This man has gone from working, and being on the go permanently, to just sitting, stewing and becoming more and more depressed . . It's very hard watching someone go through that . .

We have two people with cancer in or family who can't beat it, three who have died and two who have beat it. Cancer is a cunt and the only thing we can do is show support. Our thoughts are with you fella.
