Feeling properly sorry for myself today! I have a horrible flu/cold thing, bunged up sinuses, sore throat, fever, headache and my skin hurts to touch!

I feel crap, I'm in bed, dosed up, but no one to look after me? Who's gonna come nurse me? I'll pay you back in kind when I can breathe through my nose again....

Feckin hate being ill!!

Anything else I can deal with, but the flu, hot and cold at the same time, achey all over......uuuuurrrrrgggghhhh!!!

Bottle of scotch, lemsips, sugar and boiling water. Mix well, take every two hours and lie in a hot bath.

My Nan's remedy - Brandy with hot milk in the evening - you'll sleep in spite of the cold plus it clears your sinuses. Hope you feel better soon .

I had the same a couple of weeks ago. I literally could not get out of bed and I am ashamed to say that I had to keep my son off school that day as I had nobody to take him in as I'm on my own and mom was away.

There are some horrible viruses doing the rounds at the moment but it will soon pass. Chin up xx

I am currently wrapped up in bed, gonna rest this morning, then have a hot shower after lunch, Work tomorrow (lucky I had today off) so need to sort myself out!

If you wasn't so far away I'd be happy to oblidge. I'd leave the Vicks at home & bring some nice warming oils.

Not sure I'd only do back & neck though

This sounds very Bizzare but i know loads of people that do it and it works. Rub vicks or deepheat into your feet then put on a pair of socks, your sinuses will clear up in no time and it helps get rid of the acheiness

Ibuprofen for the aches and Sudafed for the sinuses works for me. Get someone nearby to nip to the chemist for you.

As i said lovingly yesterday. Keep your germs in Trowvegas.... I'm not getting your bug! Doesn't mean I don't love ya lots though. Lemsip, lemon and honey and lots of rest is what you need. Oh and paracetamol if you're not taking lemsip!

Plenty of fluids and rest, hot lemon and honey if you have a sore throat.
