We all have preferences. Age ranges, body sizes, it is just the same thing...it isn't racist or back fist or ageist or anything.

I disagree as well. They're obviously trying to narrow down the number of emails they receive in accordance with their own personal preference.

I've no doubt some people have a bit of an undercover rant, but the vast majority of surely just stating a fact and attempting to streamline their in-box.

I, personally, like a variety of people ... so my profile is statement free on that front.

I think in the majority of cases it is just people stating who they are attracted to and who they aren't. However, there will be the odd one that is due to racist _iews. Spotting the one in a thousand racist is impossible, unless the Klan have a group profile on here.

I wouldn't discriminate against any other race except by not wanting to have sex with them. That's down to attraction, nothing more. Sex isn't a right, so I don't see the problem. I can decline to have sex with anyone, for any reason.

I admit I am generalising based on my experiences, because there may be Asians I am attracted to, but I have to filter my options somehow. It's much more likely I will be attracted to white men than Asian men, so I prioritise meeting white men over Asian men. The sheer number of men on here means that I don't meet Asian men at all.

I might play with an Asian man in a club if I found him attractive. I haven't so far, but it's not impossible.

I put it on my profile because I don't want to waste the time of Asian men. It doesn't stop some messaging me anyway, but most can look and determine that I wouldn't be interested.

Would you actually want someone to have sex with you, not because they are attracted to you, but because they think they have to demonstrate racial equality?!

Personally, I think complaining that people not wanting sex with you is discrimination is very insulting to people who have experienced genuine discrimination. Comparing not getting sex to being attacked, killed, denied basic human rights and similar really doesn't compare to being turned down for a fuck.

I'm happy with "preference" in general and I don't expect people to justify their preferences but it does depend very much on what that preference is based on/derived from. For example, if the reason you've stated "no black/Asian guys" is because you think they're inferior, or you've stereo typed them as thieves, drug dealers and/or terrorists, lol, then I'd class that as being racist/ignorant myself.

I can understand preferences, I have a fair few of them. But I can see how saying that the whole of an entire race is unattractive to you could be seen as racist. For those who state things like this, are you really certain that there is no-one at all of that race on this planet that you might fancy? Seems like too much of a generalisation to me.

I think youre a bit too fashionably delicate where racial predudice is concerned.

I also think its judgemental to state that its racist to have a preference.

We put no Bi Guys to save Bi guys wasting their time contacting us- Its the decent thing to do rather than have them wasting their time waiting for a reply that isnt coming.

Everyone should be afforded the same courtesy- ....in fact I'd say its racist to give everyone the option not to contact you except except for black /asian guys who you would have misguidedly excluded.

Why should black/asian/whatever guys/couples be left wondering if theres a reply coming. Exepcting Black or Asian guys to piss in the wind waiting for a reply could easily be construed as racist.

You can't filter out messages by race - so putting a preference on your profile saves those (that bother to read your text!) that are outside of those preferences from wasting their own time composing a message that will in all likelihood be deleted without being read.

As is often the case with us.

For example, if some idiot is racially abusing a player I'd say he has no place being there at future matches (so whilst I'm not a 'grass', I'd actually rate somebody else for pointing him out to the stewards etc).

being that i consider myself to be a positive thinker for the most part i would have to say that i personally opt to focus on what im looking for out of life rather than highlighting what im not looking for.....so the fact that im here for illicit enounters with women shouldn't mean that i have to go out of my way to state the certain type's of women id rather not encounter at the risk of alienating and demeaning people on account of their particular unappealing characteristic traits in my opinion...it's nice to be nice...and by the same token it's not nice to be not nice

Which people on this site mention race most? The ones with Black or Asian in their profile names. The ones who use their race as a selling point.

Why is it ok for Black or Asian people to use their race to define themselves, to appeal (hopefully) to those that are interested, but not for others to consider race when deciding who they don't want to meet?

Nobody will appeal to everyone. Everyone will be excluded by someone's preferences. Get over it.

RUBBISH neither my wife nor I are racist. But this site is about physical attraction/physical fun. She has no sexual attraction to black or asian people so we tell them in our profile that there is no point contacting us. Not that it always makes a difference we often get black guys who think every women is gonna want a BBC no matter what the profile says. The only BBC Emily wants shows eastenders at 7.30!

Why the hell should we not put it in our profile? You can put no blondes if you want to, you can put nobody over a certain body size if you want to. Its pure physical attraction we are talking about. Not judgment based on skin colour there for NOT racist. Personally I think there should be a filter for it. If you can select race in a search why cant you filter replies in the same way??

There's a lot of butthurt when people are turned down or excluded by preferences or rules. A lot of the ranting is based on that.

some of my best friends have been racist....it doesnt make them any less racist as much as it doesnt make most people any less hypocritical to assume that they couldnt possibly be racist because they know a token black/asian person or because they have a colour tv....growing up as a child in this country i was a victim of verbal and physical attacks which funnily enough my antagoniser's never considered themselves to be racist although their motivation for assualting me was one of a racial intent which was further reflected in the language they used towards me...some of them were visibly shocked and offended when i tried to ask them why they were being racist and many crazily said that they weren't even though they had just got done with telling me to go back to where i come from and how much of a dirty black bastard i was etc

Your probably right in some cases. However your conclusion is wrong. Whether it is racism, sexism, homophobia or any other sort of prejudice (or personal choice) it is best for it to be openly stated, that way I (and others) can make an informed choice when it comes to making contact.

lol race's shouldnt be mixed? there is only one race....the human race and it's made up of people of all colours and creeds with varying characteristic traits and cultural practice's. further to that we're all of mixed heritage anyway's as the original first human inhabitants were of black complexion and to be found in ethopia which is known as the cradle of life and it's well known that a white man and white woman laying together cannot produce black children but it's possible for a black man and black woman to lay with each other and produce a white skinned,blue eyed, blonde haired child.....so there's food for thought.....some of us are hardwired to automatically prefer individuals within their own gene pool whereas a measure of us are hardwired to seek a partner outwith of our genepool and this is how mother nature keep's a balance amongst life....evidence of this can be found in nature

To be honest I had no idea so many people would support advocating no this no that on a profile

I thought profiles were to tell people about yourself and not to say I've no interest in even saying no sorry (and not specifying that it's the colour of their skin that prevents the meet)

I like black men...always have...and most likely always will. So am I racist towards my own race then? I like men who are 6ft plus, so does that make me a sizeist too?

Sure, u don't have to explain, and you can show lack of respect to other cultures, none can force you to act otherwise.

But lucky, you are not representative for UK, as I meet so many Enlist ppl, through that site or in real life, and 99% of them have opposite attitude.

1. If u don't understand accents why you write that sometimes you do?

2. Don't stick to that very short and basic definition of xenophobia, as you can be xenophobic avoiding non-English ppl. Just accept it. Why are u so fighting not to be if you are ? I am not saying you hate us (us - non English ppl) but definitely you are showing us no respect.

What this world would be looking like if more ppl be like you??

And everyone would say "I wont meet any foreigners, couse I don't understand accent and don't care to put any effort to change it"?
