The name is out of the boy who set the dogs home on fire. The family are known to local police as was the boy. They have all been taken into 'protection'. So this is why i pay tax? To protect a boy and his family because he did somthing so very wrong.

Apparently he's been named on FB because there was an appeal not to, in case it prejudices the case against him.

Or for people to draw attention to the fact the name is there on a social site so they then may google it?

yes it is!

after reading some of the horrendous posts on here about him i am not at all surprised that they need protection. People have been absolutely vile on here. i weep for society with some of the comments...wanting to set him on fire etc. Adults threatening the life of a young person (not allowed to call him a child apparently )

Yes, he did a bad thing, yes it was tragic that so many animals died because of him but he has been caught, he will be punished. No on else needs to be involved.

. I dont think he should be set of fire, and never suggested or said that!. I was thinking more along the lines of Royal Marines commando school for him, at least then my tax's would be to benefit him rather than hiding him.

And if it turns out not to be him and a mob rips him limb from limb?

The guilty need to be punished but nobody is guilty till the court pass sentence.

You raised 5 points, alas you don't seem able to comprehend any of them.

I am so sorry that all the dogs died but maybe direct your energy elsewhere, a social site isn't doing much apart form the sympathy vote for you.

I actually think its a shame people make assumptions and the vigilantes start to appear

From all the reports I've seen the police have urged the family to move away for protection not that they are protecting them, the boy in question was recently in hospital after a serious attack from a dog which was stabbed to death by a neighbour to get it off him and the police are clear that they understand he is one of a handful of people who played a role in the fire.

I always thought innocent till proven guilty was the case in this country

your talking rubbish but then again I suspect you know that already..

take yourself down to the burns unit at your local hospital and see what the effects of being burnt actually are and then if your still minded to be the executioner pop into your local fire station and explain to them that you think burning someone alive is a justified form of punishment and see how they react..

Stop acting so vile, no real need. The bottom line is, he may not have intended to set fire to it with a _iew to killing animals, just been a bored child who for all we know may have had a terrible upbringing and society has thrown him onto the scrapheap. The evidence isn't clear, nothing is known about him - that's what a police investigation is for. Burning someone to death or kicking a child to death, if you think that is the answer then I'd love to know what you've don't to ever change the british justice system or to change the lives of those who aren't privileged.

On a positive note, the dogs home has been inundated with generosity.
