"Is it Crohns where they are starting to use faecal transplants?" Yep, it repairs the gut flora. Sadly, there's not enough evidence to support it so finding a doctor willing to try it may be difficult. It's had some great success stories, some patients are in remission after the therapy.

"Is it Crohns where they are starting to use faecal transplants?" Yes it is, and results (from the US) have been positive so far.

".. my daughter has chrohns - i know others have it too on here as it has been discussed - she is so tired of taking drugs that she has been trying other remedies - simple things like ginger and peppermint tea - and it has relieved the symptoms a little - the latest thing she is about to try is turmeric and black peppercorns - these apparently help with inflammation - she isnt just trying willy nilly and is on forums and such - really looks into it etc - just wondered if any others had tried this - she would love to be able to reduce the asacol she takes and if this works hopefully she will" Is she on/tried Humira? (adalimumab)
