This gets covered on Woman's Hour at least once a year. Some leave it even longer!

Fresh bedding is one of the joys of this life.

Have you bought something or are you looking?

Think about comfort, your room and pick the one you like best. It's not the end of the world if you get something you like and nobody else does. The only thing that is a waste of money is getting bedding that is scratchy or uncomfortable in any way.

I restrict myself to buying bedding in the sales to help manage my addiction.

If you are a blank sheet then perhaps get some plain white with a subtle coloured piping. Look at the hotel ranges.

Don't buy cheap.....it's rarely comfortable.

I love flannelette sheet...they take a bit of wearing in, but super comfrey. Egyptian cotton is the same.....this means you need to wash them way more than monthly tho

Do you change colours with the seasons? Rich colours for autumn/ winter, fresher brighter colours for spring/ summer?

Opposite is more beneficial, bright colours to counter the dark, and restful to sleep when the sun rises before I do.

I recently paid a visit to Dunelm and was quite surprised with the range and quality of their bedding. I bought a couple of hundred pounds worth of stuff there recently and totally re-did my bedroom.

You can also shop online so don't even have to leave your bed to change it! xx

I do. I have sprigged flowers in the spring and more muted, subtle piping or single colour bands in the autumn.

Did you solve your bedding issues? If not you really do need to come shopping with me.

I have found some lovely 400 thread count, white cotton with the smallest amount of embroidery and all for £45 in a sale. The deep fitted sheet was £29 in 400 thread count Egyptian cotton too.

I can wait to put them on the bed tomorrow.

I had to stop myself from buying more.
