Moi! Penetrative sex is always protected, but when I give oral it's not.... And you can still catch stuff, so keeping tabs on your health is v.v. Important.

Most will say they are... But often in conversation it becomes so clear that they haven't. I'm late on getting tested as its been 7 weeks but am going this week x

Why is it important? All that's important is the steps and precautions You take to protect yourself. What other people do is up to them.

It's pointless policing anyone else - people lie to get what they want.

All that's important is that your taking the steps you want to take to secure your personal safety.

I do, and thanks to a thread on here had a Hep B vaccine done too - well you might as well, it's free! I'm lucky I have a great rural clinic to go to, it's much nicer in there than my doctors surgery actually!

I always get checked at least every 3 months. If I'm meeting other people (rather than just having sex with my boyfriend) then it's more regularly - about every 6 weeks.

The consultant at the GUM clinic in Edinburgh told me that it was unnecessary to go so often. I explained my sexual activity, in painfully honest detail, and he said six to twelve month check ups were sufficient.

That's good enough for me but I'm a safe sexer!
