being an amputee should not stop you

it is in fact a sexuall fetish for some people , and you may be actively "sought out"

O o O oo

I suppose it will depend on how you would feel after the op and how it affects you.

But to a general question, no, why should people with any disability not swing? go for it I say.

Good luck with your op xx

Hi Bert,

There is no reason why your pending surgery and after result should stop your swinging.

The fact that you have openly discussed it here is admirable. I wish you well.

A user replied to your post using the word "FETISH" never think because of your situation you fall under that catagory, you'll still be that same person.

I wish you good health, happy swinging and best of luck.

Paddy

Certainly shouldn't stop you, unless *you* want it to.

Might want to tell people in advance though.

It should definitely NOT stop you swinging, however alter your profile so that people know about it and just try to act as if it's qute normal (which of course it is).

hi bert .. Good luck with your op and hope for a speedy recovery . There is a guy who uses my regular club who has no lower leg on one side, plus a couple with other conditions such as CP and psrkinsons ...all have a great time !

I'd agree to the comment about not getting put into the fetish box unless you want to be there of course , and about being upfront before you meet someone. I don't expressly put my physical needs on my profile but I do let people know very early on if there is the likelihood we'll meet . Some have backed out ,some politely and some less so , but that's ok ... I've found plenty who aren't phased at all !!

Xx

Hi Bert, firstly hope you're pending surgery goes well.

No you should not give up swinging, yes there are some narrow minded people out there. But the good people far outweigh them. The main thing is as long as you are comfortable, that is the most important thing. And be yourself.

We both have medical problems and have never had a negative response. But I'm sure one will come at some point!!

Good luck and have fun. H & N xx

good luck with your op hope all goes to plan and you are pain free.

it may take you while to come to terms with the loss of a limb but once you do i see no reason why you should not swing once fit enough to do so.

I know a couple where the guy is in a wheel chair, he cant walk at all after a accident a few years back, they still swing, host regular parties too, of course its not going to be everyones cup of tea but they have made many friends and have a few play mates too, if we make friends with someone and they like us as a person they will see past our inperfections, whatever they may be, and see the person inside x
