I've only savoured this delicacy about a month ago and I really enjoyed it. I just never liked the sound of it before. I've only ever had it with tomato ketchup but the tartare sounds nice

Ok fish fingers half grilled then nicely coated in jalapeno infused vineger followed by grilling to completion. One slice of wholemeal bread covered with liberal coating of butter, other slice coated with Franks hot chili and lime sauce. Cooked fish fingers on buttered slice then coated with light coating of mature chedder chease (careful not to use too much as it will over power everthing else), finish with the hot sauce slice. (Would normally add a few chillis but my wee plants havent produced any fruit so far this year.)

Follow with iced glass of elderflower cordial and tabasco chilli vodka

Coloured pink with a felt tip they make an uncanny substitute for crabsticks.

Not as dodgy as it sounds as crabsticks are often made of whitefish....
