Today I discovered the secret to feeling thin: wear trousers that are too big and keep falling down.

I have learned that people will ignore a burning building as they walk past, especially if they are dressed smartly.

Once, when clearing out an old office, I noticed that a mirror (that had been left behind) made me look thinner than I am.

It was tarted up and has hung in my hallway for the last 10 years.

Great for when you take a look back as you walk out thru the front door ...

Some mirrors are just cruel. Others are lovely. My bedroom mirror always makes me look lovely. My favourite mirror is in a hallway in Lyme Regis and that one makes me look a proper shape and all the droopy fat bits disappear.

Finding one that loves you is a wonderful thing.

No. It is the only mirror that is accurate. All other mirrors are faulty.
