Did you speak on the phone?

Were they verified?

Swapped face pics?

Planned in advance or last minute? (Although 3 in 2 weeks would suggest not too much advance planning!)

I agree, it is a swine when you are off work and there are no shows you fancy at the local theatre. Obviously, as soon as you are back on shift there will be 3 good shows that you would have gone to see.

We have met someone who we didn't speak on the phone with...they were not verified, we didn't swop face pics, and arranged the meet within 3 days...he turned up , we all had fun.

but if you where constantly getting let down by doing it this way wouldn't you think about taking a different approach?

If I am honest probably not. Not everyone will stick to a plan, no matter how you arrange it.

We have arranged meets weeks in advance and it is has gone pear shaped when it came to the time.

I don't doubt it.

But (generally speaking) those that start forum threads about no shows rarely do any of the above, say yes to a message asking to meet - then wonder why it goes tits up.

Then do the same over and over which no change of approach.

If there was a perfect foolproof method for anything in life Tiger Woods wouldn't practice golf daily, Bill Gates would have come up with a windows operating system that was bug free and gambling simply wouldn't exist.

But there isn't. Much like the insurance industry - it's all about risk minimisation.

Do all you can to prevent a no show and there's no element of blame on your side.

Trust a total stranger you've had bugger all previous engagement with and the odds are far greater it will go wrong.

I think everyone is going to get a let down at some stage. I'm lucky I haven't had mine yet. But if I was constantly getting them I would definetly look at the way I was selecting people..

Someone once postedvthey had had 19 no shows straight after each other I would say that's definetly more than bad luck

That is a lot of assuming over one post...I am not sure we know how the person selects her meets but I am not sure it will be after having a mail saying "do you want to meet"

To you other point...We are all meeting strangers so according to your last sentence we are all in for a fall....I don't see it that way at all.

Now time for me to do some assuming.....if the woman has made sure she was safe as she could and only makes arrangements with people that she has vetted the way she wants to ( not how anyone else thinks she should ) and they are letting her down because they are not really into it when the crunch comes or they are just on here winding up people then I don't see how that is anyones fault but the people who let people down.

Speaking on the phone always seems to crop up.....

We will very rarely speak on the phone as I find it really awkward and simly don't like it. Has never stopped us getting meets and certainly don't get lots of no shows / cancellations.

We never speak on the phone either and only swop numbers the day before a meet incase of a cancellation. I can understand why people want to make sure there is a female there before they will meet couples of females though...but we do it by cam.
