Bagpuss

I read with dismay that the BBC is planning to remake the old children's classic Bagpuss. Presumably they'll spoil it be using fancy computer graphics and completely destroy the appeal of the original charming series with their trendy use of bad language, GTA style violence and explicit sex.

I for one have no desire to see a 3D Professor Yaffle and Gabriel the Toad spit roasting Madeleine, while Bagpuss masturbates, culminating in a mass bukkake cum-bath featuring the mice off the mouse organ.

Why can't these people keep their filthy ideas to themselves and leave this innocent programme alone?

I'm 41 and have several plush Eeyore toys *shrug* I even cuddle one in bed sometimes when I'm stressed.

Because they own the licence or copyright, so they don't have to pay someone extra money for an original idea or share the royalties for the merchandise- the same reason Hollywood do remake after remake or turdmovie 7- the hunt for more profit
