i don't use the one in Leeds its like a jumble sale but the one in Harrogate is very well organised,staff even go round picking things up off the floor

Bloody hate it. The aisles are too narrow so no-one can get past others, people just chuck stuff on the floor, and the clothes are usually ugly. I think I've bought about three things from there.

I'm all for a bargain, but from what I have seen, they sell cheap clothes which generally look ermmmmmm cheap.

I like selecting clothes from a rail not from the floor.

I'd sooner buy clothes from Sainsburys... but not Tesco as their stuff looks like tat too.

When I was a teacher I got my suits from Primark. I think it was £20 the jacket and £5 the trousers, so I bought a few pairs. Whole lot machine washable, when it rained it ran off, warm when going playground duty ... And surprisingly it looked as smart as my Pierre Cardin suits ... And if it got dissolved in chemistry or set fire to in physics or ripped I had no concern, another £25 and I'd have a new suit.

Check them out, they are suite amazing ... Btw trainee teachers get sod all to live on!!

I can't shop in big shops like Primark. I went in there to get my granddaughter a pair of black stretchy shirts to go under a short dress. I felt like crying after 10 minutes of searching through shelves and shelves of shorts. A woman came to my aid and found the last pair on a bottom shelf. I really hate shopping

I like it, i got some t-shirts, jumpers, pants and socks from there. It depends which one you go to as to how tight the aisles are and how jumble sale it is, the one in brum is terrible but covs not bad.

All highstreet clothing retailers use the same agency for fashion trends. Primark has the added advantage of 'fast fashion' where they can turn around a product in a matter of weeks if they see something they like in another store.

I know more about the industry than I'd care to but some of it is quite interesting.

Their clothes always seem too tight across the boobs and if I go a size up they fit my boobs but are then baggy around the waist so I don't own any Primark. One of these days I hope comments like that are treated with the same regard as ones which advocate rape or pedophilia. It might all be abstract to you lot of cheap clothing freaks, but somewhere else on the planet these are real people's lives and yes... real kids and real whips

My apologies but I don't really have a lot of humour about this issue. If we all did a little bit it would send a message to these manufacturers that we want change by hitting them where it hurts i.e. their profits. But the sad truth is that the British consumer values money savings over ethics and therefore continues to fund repressive regimes and keep slavery a reality. Has it ever struck any of you lot that this very issue might be some of the reason why some people around the world hate us so much?

Primark is my go-to for lingerie. I have no snobbery about it.

I'd be less pissed off having s £15 quid babydoll ripped off me than if I had spent £30+ on it elsewhere!! Means I have more to spend on a coupla coffees/pack of rubbers/beer/Burger King when we meet beforehand too

I buy from all different place, asda, tesco, store twenty one, primark, new look (sale rail) and matalan. unfortunately I don't have the income to be fussy about where I shop. the stuff I get lasts and that's all that matter. I also go to charity shops for some of mine and my daughters stuff just as good and really cheap plus giving to charity x

Many items from high street clothes shops are made in the same factories and just have their own brand label attached.

Primary are one of the few shops with an ethical work policy, I believe it's online somewhere.

I love shopping there.

Nothing wrong with that. Im a very thrifty shopper. If there is a bargin to be had im there. My daughter teams high designer wear with high street stuff. You would be suprised how many celebs shop in places like these. Iv often gone into the primark on oxford street and believe it or not oftern seen a celeb or two in there shopping for bargains.

There shall be no recruitment of child labour.

My favourite best fitting jeans are from Primark. It is great for kids clothes although they tend to shrink in the wash. I dont go in often its hard to get round with a pushchair.

My local one is best to go in first thing before it looks like a jumble sale

I just wanted to say, in case some people got the wrong end of the stick, that my wife and I currently shop for clothes mainly in charity shops. If we can't find anything funky enough, we alter things to add something quirky to them. So we're not being snooty in our views of Primark... it is just an issue of personal ethics

Thanks to the people who alerted me to Primark's ethical policy. However, our problems with cheap commodities run deeper than a specific company or it's policy. If you find yourself looking at a product and wondering how the heck they managed to make it so cheaply... the answer will almost invariably be slavery of some form or another.... even if it's just economic slavery.

Of course it is impossible to live in the West and not buy products that are only affordable to us because of the inequalities of wealth and poverty that are carefully manufactured and manipulated by the West and it's big businesses. But it is possible to try, every now and then. Whether it's boycotting Apartheid regimes or making sure you buy 'fair trade' and spend that little extra.

In general if it's new and it looks too cheap to be true... don't buy it... it's probably got blood on it

As you might guess... we don't shop at Poundland either lol
