Having just finished the second (in the Name of the Wind) book from a Patrick Rothfuss trilogy, I am patiently awaiting the final installment.

Until then, I'm.open to suggestions. What are you reading that you'd recommend?

I think it's a little too scary for me! Some of the characters are from the pages of a Stephen King novel!

I have read a lot of his stuff and would agree but I still enjoyed his books. .... Sadly I don't find the time to read these days. I'm the kind of person that likes to get fully immersed in a book and lock the world out for a day or two until I finish a book. That's impossible with a family.

Lizzie Collingham's Curry, a biography.

To quote the review 'Curry is one of the hottest and mouth-watering books of non-fiction about India to appear for many years'.

A great read, and some inspirational original Indian recipes.

funny enough this one just didnt work for me either which is strange as i love and have got all of his books and think Sam Vimes is a great character, just couldnt get into Snuff or Unseen Academicals at all. Rasing Steam is much much better.

I'm reading this thread for inspiration too, not read a good book for a long time. I only read non-fiction though, it's gotta be 'real'.

Some books I couldn't put down that are each very different are:

Opening Skinner's Box - Lauren Slater

The Game - Neil Strauss
