Hi ladies and men!

I need some help

It doesn't matter what brand of hold ups I purchase I can't get them to stay up , any suggestions?

Apart from super glue or using a staple gun

Stockport

Hi Violet,

There is some good advice on stockingshq website. My missus stopped using moisturiser on her legs when wearing holdups. Not had a problem since. Only time any have rolled down was with some random make. Even primark ones stay up now.

Though she does tend to wear suspenders more, to make sure nothing does slip at the wrong time.

Andy

Definitely no lotions or body creams. I have been known to use a suspender belt just to keep them up.

The best pair I purchased recently were the black hold ups with the stripes around the top.

I have had them on ages and no pulling up, the cheapest I have ever bought, two pound fifty in primark.

Just where I need to be.

There is a gel you can buy Staysput hold-up gel. I try to get hold ups that have a wide lace lycra top, never had any problems.

I wear stockings for exactly that reason. I have found some in John Lewis that stayed up but they were 17 quid a pair.

Limavady

Put them in the freezer for a day before you take them out of the packet then take them out of the freezer days before you need them. Sounds unlikely, another TV told me, I tried it and found it worked

Lightly wet your fingertips and rub across the silicone band it works on any kind no matter thr the price

fully fashioned stockings with a belt always a winner

Palookaville

I find the m&s ones are really good esp if you're tall like me .. They're the only ones that fit!

Like others have said don't use body lotions etc although I have been known to forget and they have still been fine... But I do dampen the silicone strips first too.
