Ive had occasional spray tans but wouldnt use a uv sunbed as I think they may damage your skin and increase cancer risks. Its great to look wonderful but spray tans MAY be healthier - no proof mind.

I use in moderation i find it helps after training in the gym however only a few short minutes i like cocoa butter on my skin smells nice looks gd and no risks i think lol

Bad.

The only time I've ever used them is if I'm going somewhere stupidly hot like Egypt.

Not to get a tan - more to get acclimatised so I don't burn on arrival.

Gave up a once a week habit at the start of the summer. It wasn't the fear of cancer that made me, it's that I've started noticing the skin damage. The final straw was that I developed age spots on my hands..... Noticeable ones. It was definitely the beds/showers as they have faded over the summer. Not going to preach to anyone - there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been heard and it used to bug the sh*% out of me. Usually the ones preaching were holding a fag at the time. . I've bought a spray tanner on the E place and am growing used to doing the once a week spray tans. I can't imagine being pale again but reached a stage where I had to prioritise the condition of my skin.

When you've had a 10p size hole cut out of your face, you start to realise that all the warnings surrounding sunbeds, sun cream etc. are worth listening to.

I can send you a pic if it helps you make a decision on it.

Used to use one once every week to two weeks to stop my back irratating me. Stopped due to moving and spend at about 9 hours a week out in the sun (or rain, snow, etc) in a wee boat on the canal, which appears to work just as well.

Though, it is tempting to try to get rid of the white patches sometime, so might go again.

No amount of preaching to others makes a difference. All of us does something unhealthy, some more than others. .As long as the information is out there, people will make an informed choice.

And perhaps if advertisers stopped using tanned women to model swimwear or didn't promote 'a healthy tan' then it would help.

Is that no risks from the lotion or sun bed? If its the bed, Id like to know your evidence source. Most things carry some risk, but I think I will risk spray tan but not beds.

Sorry I didn't mean solely you preaching, I mean all of us.

I used to use sunbeds myself, I hired them out for 6 weeks in the summer. I think that's worse than going to a salon as its easier to stay under them longer. I don't do it now but still.admire smooth, brown legs.

It is only when something happens to us that we Realise
