Who's to be held accountable can it be solely heads of services? Is there a case for criminal action against all those who failed these children at every level?

Are we going to see every abuser prosecuted or charged if it where entertainers they'd be outed should all the above be treated likewise?

If they were in a position of influence and should have taken action at the time of the numerous reports being published, they should be disciplined as per the HR disciplinary processes.

And any parent whose child was in care and exposed to this, because of their prioritisation of themselves over their child's well-being should hang their head in shame.

The Labour party is responsible. Multiculturalism & political correctness all of which is another "B.Liar legacy" I hate the Labour party because when anybody tried to stop mass immigration they just said "racist" to stop any argument against them. If you look at the Labour party it's now full of anti-semites. I for one shall enjoy their demise! Forget them winning the election, anybody voting for them must be mental.

The police commissioner should resign.

I'd like to see prosecutions against anyone in authority who had information about this and who did not take action tried in the courts, as they have neglected their duty of care. Normal disciplinary action should be followed too, but allowing major crimes against people in their care should carry the maximum penalties permitted.

The police commissioner seems to only care about himself and his career, despite being rejected by the Home Secretary and Labour party. He seems to have no shame, just a very selfish attitude and 'sorry' does not cut it in the slightest.

It's amazing to read all your great comments, but surely we are just stepping on egg shells. The Pakistani community were aware and accepted this terrible abuse as white skin has no place or part in their world. I know not every Pakistani person was involved and I am not saying they are all alike however the community is water tight and no one did anything about it. They look the other way. I ask you all if the roles were reversed would the white community look the other way. I am not a bnp member or part of any political group, I don't see colour only people. I am shocked and saddened that we are targeting the ease option( who should resign), just adding my _iews to this topic.

it was not only white girls that were targeted, there have been a few Asian girls from 'ring leaders' own community that have come forwards

they did not seem to care about colour

i feel the treatment of these poor children demands a intense reaction.

those who groomed those that abused should be exposed to the fullest powers of the law and publicly exposed in the national and worlds media. Those who failed to protect these children as professional officers of the various bodies they were reported to yet failed to act. Should not merely be investigated and subject to internal repremands but where proven to be derelict of duty subject to criminal charges. I fear this is merely the tip of the ice burg I'd be in favor of a nationwide task force to research all the individual councils and services for the sake of children everywhere.

These will not be the only self important autocrats harbored in our corrupted nations info structure.

The thing I find confusing is if you say Freddie Starr or Jim Davidson patted your bottom in the 80's the whole police force and media will turn up at your house and you will be front page news for the next couple of years.

But say you are being repeatable raped by a group of men for a number of years and you are disbelieved, even if other people are saying the same thing.

To my mind, the people who ignored, turned a blind eye, or suppressed what was going on, are worse than the abusers.

They could have stopped it.

Not only should all perpetrators and public officials be prosecuted where possible, we should also look at the causes of this and aim to eradicate it. Certainly it seems junior staff raised issues but senior staff suppressed action. Id like to see any awards for senior staff, such as at the police, during this period to be cancelled too. I am not a major supporter of prison but think staff in derelicthon of duty of care should be banged up and all salaries repaid as well as compensation being paid to victims by them too.

Adults that are aware of abuse and turn a blind eye are just as bad as the abusers

It makes my stomach turn over wondering how they can have this knowledge and continue with their lives as normal

I hope they rot from the inside out,they should all be made accountable because if they're not then you may as well publically say these children were worth nothing and still aren't

The bigger concern is that this is almost certainly the tip of the iceberg and not just confined to Rotherham.

If you say or do anything that points the finger at someone from an ethnic minority, you get accused of racism - it's happened to me in my work place and I know of one guy who lost his job because someone said it was a good thing that british soldiers were being killed in Afghanistan, so he replied, then why don't you go back to pakistan or wherever and train as a suicide bomber

Most folk know eff all about the candidates except which party they stand for. A bit more participation in advance would help voters make better choices.

If nothing else, the Referendum campaign has reintroduced a level of village hall hustings and that can only be a good thing.

What makes it really sad is pretty much all of the girls who were targeted came from under average back grounds, not sure how else to phrase that without being offensive, a lot were in care, had parents who didn't really monitor where they were, i was reading a report by one girl who said her mother drank a lot and didn't care about her comings and goings and this home life seems typical of a lot of the girls, these are children who needed help and care more than most but because of their home lifes and background were seen as less worthy

there are no words in my vocabulary to describe what i feel about these men who abuse these girls or the people who turned a blind eye to it, in my eyes its aiding and abetting and they should be charged along side the abusers

The Jimmy saville abuse was the same thing with many turning to look the other way

Whether u like to admit it or not there Is a huge fucking elephant in the room and folk are to afraid to say it due to there freedom of speech been removed.

I would also feel this strongly if it was the other way round . Let say it was the Jehovah witness gang I can assure all that they would be brought to task to explain all

Thanks to everyone for their _iews it is interesting that so many of you have touched on the same areas of concerns. Yet these are rarely voiced in more publicly accessible formats. I worry that the face of British fair play and pretense of free speech has been so corrupted that nationally we're all castrated.

(Something the abusers should suffer perhaps).

The political aspect of this isn't that one party failed or was miss guided. To my mind the whole of our political system has been twisted to meet the need of the minorities by pressure groups. The pillars of society seem to have forgotten the bedrock of honorable service.

Yet here we all are the un acceptable face of sexual freedom pronouncing a unified (mostly) statement of dissatisfaction in the social fabric we dwell in.

Posted with sadness and disgust for those whom stayed quiet and deep regret for those abandoned but mostly to remind us we are called to protect one another weak and strong alike from the corruption of fair play and freedom xx

I agree with you on this however Conservative are as bad, supported by high majority of ethnic supporters and a very big asian support so he wont do anything, UKIP may make a difference who knows?
