Has anyone actually tried this? A friend suggested it and having looked at the route it looks like a lot of fun... Albeit a very stupid idea!

Imperial College do, or at least did (and may still do) one every year for Rag.

I've done it quite a few times, in ridiculous fancy dress!

How many pubs would that entail? I did a few once, starting at the Sherlock Holmes and ending god knows where. Can't do that any more

Maybe try the Circle Line Challenge as a warm up.

Friends of mine did the Monopoly board years ago. They don't really remember it from what I understand, except the part where they got a whole London bus singing. I've heard that story a few times now!!

I've done the Circle Line with Imperial when at uni. Monopoly sounds trickier as some are not so easy to get to. Also how do you do the utilities? I actually found the Cowley Road Run in Oxfird far tougher!!!

The crawl starts on Old Kent Road at 10.30am (the pub listed on the challenge even opens at 10.30 on a Saturday, purely to accommodate this)! It finishes on Oxford Street at around 22.30 "until the death". They have an in-order route, but their original one seems to make more sense geographically and makes it easier to get from one location to another.

26 locations, 12 hours... Even drinking half pints, that's pretty much a pint an hour, solidly for the entire day. Jesus wept.

It's not the drinking that's the problem.

It's the finding somewhere for a piss when you're running up and down tube stations all day that's the real problem!

Especially for the women!

My son has a couple of times, had a great laugh.

He was out all day, and spent the equivalent of a night in a nightclub.

The amount of beer wouldn't be an issue, but the cost to do that in London must be astronomical

I was there last week. A Bitter shandy, a lemonade and a Southern Comfort with lemonade came to £11. I nearly cried

26 locations, half pints at each. Let's say £4.50 for a pint, about £2.25 for a half. That works out at about £58.50. For a full day's drinking, that doesn't actually work out too bad for London.

Still extortionate in comparison to anywhere else.

I've obviously been down South too long, I was sat here thinking that isn't too bad!

I'd of given it back, although for London that is quite cheap, the last time I was in London 4 bottles of corana cost 22 quid

To put it in perspective, I went out last night around Halifax, a pint of lager and a Southern Comfort with around a fiver

Except Yates... It was about £6.50
