His language at the moment says it all for me. Being "not shocked" at getting thumped by MK Dons, says he has taken on a rebuilding job bigger than he expected, or that he has no faith in his team.

Someone on here said they reckon Man U will have 6 managers in the next 10 years. I can see that happening.

Van Gaal is undoubtedly one of the best in the business. Another central midfielder, defender in this window and four straight wins would change most peoples view.

Not really.

For the record I'm not a United fan and call it how I see it, it's a very poor squad that is low on confidence. No matter how great the manager, it won't make up for shortcomings in the playing staff.

I predict more poor results in the coming season and a struggle to make top six again.

God I hope your right.

Last season was brilliant.I loved watching UTD supporters saying it will get better.

They now know what it feels like to support your team through thick and thin.

COYS.

Ps. What odds did you get ?

As a Man Utd follower for over 40yrs, unfortunately I fear they may be right the way things work in football these days.

With it all being Finance lead, all the teams look for a quick turn around instead of looking at a more mid to long term.

If they had done the same years ago Sir Alex would not have lasted his first couple of seasons.

I can see it being 3 or 4 years before Man Utd are back in the top 5 but only if they are brave enough to keep someone like Van Gaal AND to give him time and backing to clear out and revamp the whole team.

Four straight wins ??

Burnley won at Old Traffic last time they were in the prem league. And, I reckon West Ham could beat them on a good day.

They could not have hand picked 7 easier games for a team that is supposed to be the greatest in the land.

Yet 3 games in,they look like they will struggle to make mid table at Christmas.

Looks like a long and winding road to get back to the top,and they will need to spend a lot more than the noisy neighbours to get there.

Leeds

Well signing autographs straight after his team got beat 4-0 surely isn't a good sign...could you imagine Fergie doing that.

And buying Di Maria, who wants to play in the No 10 role, soon after Van Gaal said his side was loaded with No 10's!

I didn't think it could get any better from last season but this season is already looking just as good

there is one happy man united fan today.... or should that be one very happy embarrassed man u fan...

a woman won 5000 pounds after correctly predicting last nights result.. 10 pound at 500/1

one issue.... she actually meant to put on a 4-0 win to united, but ticked the wrong box!!!

Think you have that wrong the woman who bet 4:0 the wrong way won £1,250.

Holly Griffiths, a United fan placed £2.50 on MK Dons to win by four goals at odds of 500/1 it must be nice to make a mistake like that.
