So here in Leicestershire the children go back to school tomorrow.

Is it just me or has the summer holidays flew by this year? I am not ready to let them go again

It's my daughters birthday today and she's very excited to be back tomorrow so she can take sweets to the class

What about you lot? Are you ready for them to go back?

Back to a routine

Clean and tidy house

Back to walking ten km a day

But not looking forward to the battle in the morning and the monotony lol

I think Leicestershire is the odd one out, they broke up a week earlier though

I have one going back tomorrow and one going back on Friday. I often question the point of going back to school so late in the week. Why no wait until Monday?

Mine wear a purpley/burgundy colour! Cannot get anything matching, they have logo'd cardigans and just have to wear grey tights. Cannot get summer dresses in the right colour

Completely agree! I have 1 that starts tomorrow and another going into reception class but she doesn't start til Monday

I'm more than ready for my 3 to go back,I need my freedom again. Just be nice to be able to go shopping would be nice without 'mummy can I have...' found it really hard work with little to no help from anyone. Most of my friend kids go back today but mine don't till the 8th Sept

Ouch! Ours are £12 but they are logo'd. Would definitely see how much they are from the school

Exactly!!

But I am thankful for small mercies as I have one at high school and the other is still at primary school and they are both back on the same day for a change.

My eldest is back next wednesday and my youngest 2 are in nursery from the 8th. I am going to be a blubbing wreck as its the first time I'll have no kids at home for the day in 6 years

My youngest is 2 and been thrown in the deep end. He has 2 and half days to make through.

Im going to be greatful for the peace but the house will seem so empty

When my eldest first started I held myself together I didnt even get a goodbye. Then I blubbed the whole way home

I will be fine when I drop her off, think it will hit me when I'm at home alone. She's going to be fine, she's very excited and will be at school with her sister and a very nice group that went to preschool with her too xx

Since the summer appears to have all but disappeared, I'm guessing the teachers must have thought 'oh sod it, lets send them back to school a week early!'.

When my children were young I liked this time of year. Back to school in new uniforms,autumn on its way,Halloween and bonfire night parties and Christmas coming up. More sleep for me too

We had a fantastic summer hols, have explored rivers,lakes, woodland and moorland! Weve been geocaching, to edinbrough zoo to seek pandas, weve climbed rocks and trees, weve paddled our feet in water and caught fish in nets!

A great summer holiday has been had but im so ready for my son to go back to school, i need a rest!!

What im not ready for is the big step from small school to big school

Knowing this was most prob the last summer the my dude wants to spend with his mum

Mines been off 8 weeks !!!

Goes back Thursday after teacher training !

How could they not have done two days before the kids go back lol ?

Run out of things to do or days off to take them out ?

So looks like they'll end up in front of computer ?
