Kate Bush

Titz Towers, North Notts

Kate Bush is all over the news and my facebook at the mo. Apart from Wuthering Heights, I'm damned if I can think of anything else she's ever done.

Is she worth looking into, or is she just cool for 5 minutes, or does she just have a great publicist?

I like her. She had a few top ten hits.

A very talented woman.

I can see why people love her or loathe her. I have a lot of respect for her as an artist without being a huge fan. She is valid and a rare successful woman in the music industry who has got there on her own creative and artistic terms.

for me. I would definitely go to see her. If someone else paid . I can't justify paying that sum at the moment but wouldn't take anything away from her credibility wise.

I'll look into her, then. I've just seen it flash up as headline news on the BBC newsfeed - Kate Bush takes to the stage. It just seems incongruous alongside current affairs and world news. If it was the Beatles reforming or Elvis or something....

She is a reclusive soul and has an aura about her that the media can't seem to resist

when she appeared on Top of The Pops singing Wuthering Heights she caused a sensation, we hadn't seen or heard anything like her before. 1978 I think it was...or so it says in the history book my mum gave me

I think another part of her appeal, particularly now in this "age of the celebrity", is that she genuinely seemed to not want the attention that she received. Not in a really contrived, "no pictures please dahling/I'm a recluse" kind of way though.

I remember the stir one of her album or poster pics caused because of an erect nipple that was showing and fixated on and her reaction to it.

She was a very talented young Singer/songwriter whose originality grabbed worldwide accolades, but she herself chose the reclusive route, so, now, all of a sudden she wants some favourable publicity ............. I cannot for the life of me think why?????

It's her first live appearance in 35 years lets just hope she can still dance as well as she did back in the day. With 31 top forty singles to choose from the playlist should be great and well width checking out.

Sadly, I wasn't there. When I saw the price of the tickets I hesitated and then they were all gone.

Bona fide musical genius, and not a word I use lightly. Up there with Bowie. Can't wait to see her again.

And for those commenting, she isn't/wasn't a recluse/hermit or whatever, that's just the usual lazy tabloid crap passing itself off as 'journalism' over the years. Also, it's not for the money (lucrative though it will be ). She is very wealthy already & could have played the mega stadia all round the world if it was just about that.
