Sunday Roast or what's cooking?

I wasn't going to bother today, but everyone fancies a roast in our house. I've been and bought a joint of lamb, going to do roasties, roast parsnips, sweet potato, carrots, courgettes, runner beans , leeks & mushrooms in a white sauce.

Blackcurrant sorbet or banana and custard for dessert. (Making cupcakes too,but can't eat them myself - torture!)

What you all cooking today?

If by some miracle I manage to get what I want to do done today I'll treat myself to a decent takeaway.

If not, who knows. Probably fish, chips and peas.

Ooooh, yes please. Bit f everything please but is it possible to separate the pud from the main - sorbet parsnips isn't a great combo. Thank you kindly

I've been cheating all week with takeaways due to long working hours. I'll keep it simple today and have sausage, bacon, peas, potatos and gravy. Roast tomorrow.

I'm not that bothered about a roast dinner except at Christmas plus i mostly don't want to bother to cook so we went pub I had haddock and spring onions fish cakes with salad and it was perfect, ordered chips to but my appetite isn't very big at the moment so i only ate a few, hubby had most of them

"I've just made 3kg of mashed potato."

Any particular reason ? Anything to go with it or you making three dozen potato cakes ?

Which is now the topping on seven homemade Fish Pies.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Don't bother with a roast as I live alone. But have spent the afternoon baking cookies.

Vanilla, peanut and chocolate coated.

Just waiting for the last batch to cool and then I'll have some with a brew.
