TV, Broadband and phone packages

I'm having to make financial savings and so looking at potentially changing my package provider. I have to have unlimited broadband, a phone-line and tv package.

Looking on-line there are good deals to be had. What I want to know is the best provider in your opinion (not always the cheapest). I have had Talk Talk in the past and experienced shocking customer services. I currently have Sky but I think the total package of approx £45 is pricy.

Who would you recommend?

If you have cable available look at virgin for broadband, they do some deals for new customers. I don't use them for phone as the one i have at the mo is cheaper but I may just ditch the landline, if you need the phone check the virgin packages or look at money saving expert for some comparisons. As for TV, do you watch a lot of the pay TV programmes? I just have freeview and freesat but watch a lot of programmes online. Again, look at virgin packages but also check out MSE and comparison sites for prices and reviews

I'm currently looking on-line for comparisons, but they won't give a true indication of customer service. Hence the OP

I like Virgin. You dont have to have a landline to get it either but if you want tv too its cheaper if you do. Also, they have actual shops so you can speak to someone face to face if you want to. My mate works for them so I get a discount though haha

I've been wanting to know this myself actually. I can get virgin here but I know they bump you up to a higher price after 6 months.

I only want tv and internet.

I have Sky broadband and landline. For the first year my bill was £22 a month (evening and weekend calls free only)

My bill shot up by an average £10/£15 after the first year. Unacceptable.

So I found a better deal online (primus for £16 same package) then rang Sky...

After telling them I wanted to leave I got put through to customer services. It took 30 mins and a few patronising comments from the operator but I managed to get them down to £19 a month with 24/7 calls.. Result!

So.. if you're happy with Sky but just want to economise, ring them.. they REALLY don't like to lose customers.
