Uncomplicated

Sex acts tailored to the mans preferences

indulgence - no need to focus on pleasing a woman

Time when it suits

Female chosen on looks entirely suited to the man

We've both paid independent escorts in the past and had enjoyable times - for both of us it didn't end in sex on one of the two seperate occassions. For us you have to have a spark even if you are paying someone, you have to respect the other party and paying only buys you time, not the right to be abusive in any way.

Also buying sex for money objectifies women... which must surely be a key factor behind all rapes?

Just my thoughts... but I'd be tempted to challenge the conventional wisdom on that one and suggest that, by going to a prostitute, a rapist might be born

I'm always puzzled when people equate using a prostitute with stopping rape.

Rape is not about sex - its about the act of taking something that is not willingly given (I've worked with sex offenders in a previous job role) and for the majority it was never about sex, so using a prostitute would not have filled their needs.

And there are plenty of prostitutes raped too and unfortunately all too often don't report the crime

Id not entertain anything other than payment by results. Id not pay a builder to sit around and drink tea and be company for a building, he'd need to build and craft. I read somewhere it's not the sex a rapist is after it's the act of taking something with his total control... So prostitutes or escorts didn't give that full service I imagine.. so no I think it's wrong

Successful men who have no trouble getting sex can be and sometimes are rapists.

Rape is NOT about getting sex. It's about power and control.

People who commit rape will do whether sex is available to them or not. It's not about sex.

Could you tell me where the research that supports this claim is please? How many prostitutes were studied and what percentage does "the majority" actually equate to?

Or is this just a belief of yours which you can't back up with any reliable, factual data?

I strongly doubt the claim that "the majority" of prostitutes are homeless drug addicts.

If you include all sex workers, rather than just those who offer penetrative or oral sex, it's even less likely to be the case.
