Titz Towers, North Notts

"I think I must have something wrong with me because I don't like monty pythons "

I think they are overrated, personally.

I think it can be hard to maintain the comedy momentum over a full length film. Some just do it in lots of gags weaved around something resembling a plot (Naked Gun) whilst some try to mine a situation (Steptoe and Son ride again), or just leave the gags out Porridge, but are still very amiable all the same.

'Death At A Funeral' (the first version directed by Frank Oz... the remake is awwwwful) almost made both of us piss ourselves at points.

Others we've cried laughing at include...

Date Night

Little Miss Sunshine

Office Space

...and Seven Psychopaths & In Bruges (same director) had me laughing out loud

"A Good Old Fashioned Orgy "

We really enjoyed this too... in a similar vein check out 'Wanderlust', 'Our Brother The Idiot', and 'Dan In Real Life'... not necessarily laugh out loud... but extremely amusing and top quality comedies none the less.

Some classic romantic comedies are also worth mentioning. "As Good As It Gets" and "How Do You Know" are just lovely lovely films that might not make you laugh out loud but they'll make you glow if you have any humanity in you

imo the higher purpose of cinema is to remind us of the beauty within us... that's why losing Robin Williams is such a loss Best Robbin Williams comedy... "The Big White" ... Holly Hunter as the housewife with Tourettes is fucking hillarious

Thanet/Kent

Airplane.

Most of the Airport series that Airplane spoofed were hilarious as well. The boss-eyed stewardess flying the plane and opening the window of concord to fire a flare to distract a rocket were classic Airport scenes.

Sharknado and Sharknado 2 (especially as Robert Hays was in it).

The rest of the above + Laurel & Hardy.

Finally...Borat!
