I made my first clothing purchase in one the other day.

A cream/white lace skater style dress £6!!! Originally from Jane Norman.

I'm chuffed to bits and wondering if I could a netting under skirt underneath to give it bit more ooompf (not sure how to spell that)!

Have got any bargains recently ?

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Most clothes in my size are dead frumpy so I tend to hate clothes shopping everywhere.

I dislike the chaos of most charity shops and don't like hunting through everything so I tend to avoid them.

I've never bought clothing in a charity shop.

I bought a genuine 'as new' Prada bag in a charity shop for £7. Some time later I needed to raise funds for my daughters birthday so stuck it on Ebay and it went for £100! I wish I still had that bag though...

I know charity shops are competing with High St stores but I've noticed a trend lately whereby they refurbish the shop then whack the prices up. This means there aren't as many bargains as there used to be. Also, some of the clothes are almost the same price as new. They need to do their research a bit better as well - Atmosphere ISN'T a designer brand but I've seen Primarni clothing priced as if it was. I love charity shop browsing but you have to be a lot more discerning these days.

we both love shopping in charity shops. I bought Keith a pair of Birkinstocks sandals only £4.99. He tried them on and they were too big. Sold them on eBay for £40. One of my recent buy's was a real pair of ugg boots a bargain at £5 never been worn by the looks of them. One persons junk is someone else's best buy.

Is it Subway the shop that sells foot long bits of bread with stuff in them or a subway an underpass that smells of pee and has buskers in it?

the prices round here go up in the summer for obvious reasons. One that I go into has a policy of moving the stock very quickly and will reduce things to sell them after a certain period of time, that's when I get some really good bargains

Never really had clothes from them but have had a set of hair straighteners (which i'd had previously and broke, paid 80 quid for) for a fiver. Bargain! Not all of them do electrical goods though as they need PAT testing before they can sell them.

I've had great bargains over the years. I love vintage clothes shops.

I generally look for quality over design because I'm quite nifty with a sewing machine and hand stitching so I embellished many of my clothes to make them exactly what I want.

I will buy clothing just for the buttons or for the lace etc. Im often in the rag market buying lots of different embellishments etc.

I was walking out of a local Salvation Army shop the other day when I bumped into a friend.

"You're a disgrace!" he said.

"How's that?" I replied, puzzled.

"Getting your clothes from a charity shop," he continued, "don't you know people most likely died in them?"

"Don't be silly!" I replied, laughing as I pulled on my new single black glove and moon-walked down the high-street.
