Copy of take a break.

Amusing silly stories and puzzles to do. Holidays are escapism, love leaving the brain at home.

I'm currently on a short holiday in the UK. The strangest thing I've got with us is probably bottles of squash for the kids.

Anything that needs repairing... Its been used for mending snorkels, parasols etc. We have even made a safe toggle thing to activate a safe in the hotel room. Saves €20-30.

Also great to bind things...

We seem to use it every time we go away for one thing or another...

We take tea bags especially when in america as there tea is awful.

Our next holiday I think the strangest things we'll be taking are kindling, a stove kettle, torch, digital radio and tea bags.

why is strange to take tea and coffee on holiday??

We always take it if we are self catering as we love a drink first thing in the morning on our balcony

It isn't... We are the same. I need it to wake up and love the chill out of a nice cuppa sat taking in a lovely view...

I suspect we'll be packing tea bags for my upcoming holiday. I don't drink tea but the people I'm going with mainline the stuff!

I'll be packing disinfectant wipes though, just to be confident that it really is clean in our self catering kitchen.

I often take home tea bags abroad, as lipton hotel room and cafe stuff is abysmal. Plus take some decaf bags as well, so can enjoy a cuppa if jetlagged. Sometimes take the post too, so can deal with anything urgent. Chocolate can be a good thing to take to some countries, as ours is often better.

It was the keypad type of safe which is activated with a peg that you get from the hotels reception (for the €20-30).

We rolled some paper up and used tape to get the right diameter around for it to fit. It really works and saves more money for holiday treats. x
