Would/did you have a big wedding. Mine was average sized and a good day but I hardly remember it now.

IF I ever got married again I'd want it really quiet and simple just us and a couple of witnesses

I've had two big ones - like you if I ever did it again I'd prefer something simple, secluded and more intimate.

However - Fox has never had one full stop. So if it ever happened I suspect there'd have to be a compromise.

Me personally, I really don't see the point in spending thousands of pounds on a wedding, just my personal view. My wedding cost 2k and it was very, very small and intimate. I am Maid of Honour to my best friend next year (her 3rd wedding!) and I have just found a beautiful bridesmaid dress for £35 which is something I will be able to wear again.

If I was ever to marry again, it would be very small and cheap

We were meant to get married in Antigua with just a couple of witnesses. But then I got pregnant and we had to cancel it. So we had an average size wedding here instead. We plan on renewing our vows in Antigua one day.

I got married in a register office and I was quite heavily pregnant, but I never dreamed of a big white wedding even as a kid.

Jays daughter got married on Saturday and had a lavish do but I've never wished it for me

I do love weddings have been to some absolutely amazing ones (lovely churches, receptions at big beautiful buildings with harps playing and all that jazz) but I'd rather not have to foot the bill!

I'd prefer something intimate, preferably outdoors. Imediate family and very close friends on a beach or by a river.

I can't see the point of being thousands of pounds in debt just for one day. My mate is still paying hers off 12 years later!! Mental.

people don't seem to save up for things nowadays,they just use credit cards,we never bought anything when I got married unless we could pay up front for it,sorry a sweeping statement, but most people don't seem to want to wait for things until they can afford them

we had nothing when we got married, some one gave us an old settee and someone else gave us a couple of old chairs it was fun saving up and buying stuff

We spent less than £5,000 on our wedding, and had 38 people during the day! We workedhard and paid for it all ourselves! We had everything we wanted, a perfect day. I don't care if people spend tens of thousands or a couple of hundred, if they have the special day they want them that's all that matters!

Me either...daddy wedding planner pays lol

Although he loves us I bet he hates having 3 daughters sometimes

Having said that, if i was ever to get married then I would want something medium sized I think. No church as I'm not religious. A nice hotel somewhere where it can all be done in one place so no fear of losing my d*unk aunt on the way to the reception venue lol

Nope... never had the urge. I don't have any desire to be the centre of attention and I'd rather have an epic holiday than waste all that cash on a dress I'm gonna wear once.

If I met someone and he wanted to get married then I guess the compromise would be the smallest day possible.

We got married in Tower Bridge and there was only us and 15 guests who were only told they were coming to our wedding an hour before. They thought they were coming to lunch...

So nobody was dressed up, we had no presents and we left for our honeymoon straight after.

Beautiful venue and a great day and now a fantastic marriage!

My wedding cost me a grand total of £30, that was my dress, my shoes and my husband's shoes. My dad paid for the registry office, friends paid for drinks.

The divorce is costing more than the wedding!

I had a big white church wedding. In the olden days when I got married, not many booked stately homes, exotic overseas locations etc for venues.

In the 80s everything was big, big dress, big hair, big tiaras, long veils, big cars, huge flower arrangements, lots of cute bridesmaids. I had a traditional church white wedding, church ceremony, hotel reception, sit down meal in daytime, band playing, disco at night, buffet at night, honeymoon day after.

We spent as little as possible because we preferred to spend the money on our new house. Our wedding was still lovely. But it's only one day and I could have spent less.

I've met a couple of people in my life who are still paying off a wedding and they are no longer even together, which seems daft and sad to me.

Sounds very much like ours. We had our reception in a local hall though, sit down meal, disco then a buffet. Our parents paid for it

didn't have a honeymoon though, we were doing up an old house so couldn't afford it. Still going strong 34 years later

I got married in Kenya, had a week Safari beforehand then parents flew out on the second week .. Married in the hotel grounds and Dad paid extra for some tradtional dancers to entertain us and the peeps we were on Safari with came too which was a lovely surprise. Not sure of the cost but it wasnt that expenisive. Never been one on church weddings and all the fuss. Wouldnt get married again but I do keep hinting at my daughter if or when she gets married its better to do it abroad maybe Maldives

Getting married at Christmas this year, 100 guests, church wedding but we're keeping the costs to approximately £4000.

Getting married at 3.30 so only feeding people a buffet to keep costs down.

Me and my ex had what many would call a small wedding. 25ish guests at the registry office then a reception at a local function room. Cost us an arm and a leg though. About 5k. It's still being paid off almost 7 years on.

I was young and stupid. If I remarry I'll make sure I got actual money to pay for it.. And will try to make sure I choose a suitable spouse.

I didn't tell anyone I was getting married. Just had the immediate family there. Big weddings are not for me. Went into work on the Monday. People asked 'Do anything nice at the weekend?' 'Went to the garden centre and oh yeh got married' Don't do fuss.
