Anyone got any good tips to take them out ?

I end up nipping my eyes too hard and have to take my nails off

Probably yet another dumb idea from me but is there anything on Youtube/ Google for women with long nails and contacts? They have everything else on there. I can't do anything with nails. x

I can manage with anything else with long nails. The lenses are so thin and small its a nightmare and end up with bloodshot eyes

I put my finger under my eye, then use a firm wiggle upwards to push my lower lid up and the contact lens out xx hope it helps x

Drag it to a corner. It will then fold and pop out. That's what I do.

You don't need to touch your eye to take out the contact.

You just open your eye wide, put your finger at the outer corner, pull the eyelid tight n blink. They just pop out so look down as you do this or the bloody thing pings across the room

Try and use the side of your finger and thumb that's the way I managed it, although I've not bothered with fake nails since x

If this doesn't work gently pull the bottom eyelid across under the lense and the top one up and then down. This should pop it out, it that makes any sense

When I'm doing contact lenses teaches at work I always advise patients to keep nails fairly short, and that goes for falsies too.

The reason for this is not just practical but a matter of safety too. If nails are long there is a very real risk of scratching the cornea and causing serious damage while trying to remove your lenses.

I have worked with optometrists who have refused to fit patients with lenses until they have cut their nails short.
