We first message people a lot on here. As soon as the message is sent, we delete sent messages straight away so we can't see what someone has done to it. We don't give a flying f*ck if people don't reply, it means they're not interested and not wasting their time and ours replying in the negative. We concentrate on our inbox. We'll either get a reply or we won't, simple!

This topic has been done to death. Not everyone has the time to reply to every single message they get as they have lives outside of fab and to be honest when you're getting 5,6,7 messages from people you have already said no thanks to it becomes very tiring...

We had the same copy and paste message twice from the same guy within 20 minutes of each other today after saying no only the day before.

I am honestly beginning to think that when people join fab there should be a short notice that says "if you don't receive a reply to a message please don't take it personally it means the recipient is not interested in taking things further"

It would save a lot of people a lot of anguish, because lets face it it MUST be disheartening when no one responds, but if you were expecting it maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

I can understand that the ladies get too many messages as the ratio seems to be many men to much fewer ladies. However, I have to say that very few seem to answer.

I know my age is very much against me but I only message those who clearly state on their profiles that they are open to my age group.

In one happy case a lady, only 22, messaged me first then invited me as a friend so I know there are some who like a much older, reasonably fit man. Pity she was way up in Derbyshire and I am in the Channel Islands but I still live in hope.
