I suspect that behind any sort of mention about 'standards' is a pretty snooty view of other people.
I thought it'd be interesting to see how other people felt about this aspect of Fab's culture  | |||

Surely it's just a matter of attraction or not? If you find yourself attracted to some old wrinkly fart that doesn't mean you've got low standards... it just means you find older guys attractive.. doesn't it?
I think the only time 'standards' come into it is when you turn someone down because you think they're out of your league i.e. too sexy. This betrays a low sense of self esteem which, in other words, says you don't feel they are the same 'standard' as you.
Am I making any sense? Kinda thinking this one through as we chat...so I might be wrong | |||

My view is that it's a reasonable turn of phrase so I don't think too much more into it. I have standards of hygiene for example. I keep myself clean and tidy and I'd expect someone I was likely to get up close and personal with to have similar standards. I don't think there's anything wrong with having standards.
I'd imagine we all set levels for ourselves and they're different. What's cool for one person isn't cool for another. I don't think I'm superior because my standards are different but I'm not gonna jump into bed with someone who smells bad just so they don't think I'm a snob.

No one is better than me and im no better than anyone else,people become defensive if they are made to feel inferior in some way,especially when its about personal choices that really have bugger all to do with people that have no interest in them Just as aside,I was joking about shag tonight having no standards | |||

3) risk management - If you ask me to rim you after eating out at a curry house I'll do it - mark yourself from 0 (no way jose) to 10 (I've got a face mask already prepared just in case)
4) continuous improvement - If your meet wants you to fuck them again for longer you say yes - mark yourself from 0 (it's game over... nothing I can do about it) to 10 (where did the night go?)

"The standards topic comes up again . How many profiles do you see with the words ' we have standards ' , or ' we aren't after shagging the whole site , it's quality over quantity for us ' etc..... So common , and more often than not the type of crap written by those who rarely meet . Probably because we don't reach their exacting standards ! So here is our take on it . We all have standards , very few of us woukd just shag anyone regardless of age , sex , size , cleanliness , attraction etc..... It's a no brainer , how many profiles do you see saying ' we will shag anything ' ? So why is there a need to state the obvious ? Our opinion is because it gives the impression they are better than the rest of us , their standards put them in some kind of elite class . For us it's a good reason to bypass them , we know we wouldn't get on . For us , swinging is about satisfying ours and others fantasies, desires and dreams of a sexual nature . We didn't used to show our verification summary after some negative comments from the quality over quantity brigade . According to them we have no standards . Then we thought sod them , we don't care what you think , we know we are happy and that's all that matters . So we show it , and proudly too , each and every meet is special for us , and hopefully for the people we meet .
