Forever youth? While it does have a certain appeal to it "forever" is a very long time.

Pure happiness? I don't believe that there is such a thing, so why take a gamble on a myth?

OK I'll take the cash.

id love to feel deep down pure happiness - because surely if i was that happy there wouldnt be any money worries and the million quid wouldnt necessarily give me that - as for youth im quite enjoying growing old disgracefully

Hapiness and money are things you can make for yourself. Eternal youth is not. I would go for etnernal youth, it will give me time to perfect my ways of being happy, making money and enjoying all that there is to enjoy in life ...

Why have forever youth etc because you would constantly see folk you love and like die and the grief that goes with it.

So its the money for me so my kids and grandchildren could benefit from my time on earth.

You must be expensive to maintain! A million pounds would be £300 000 on a really nice home somewhere quiet, and £750 000 is enough to live quite comfortably on for a few decades if you don't go ridiculous, and that's not including any interest you earn on the way. Show me the Million!!!

I am high maintenance

You see with that money for me I would invest it in a business idea I've got but there is risks involved like all businesses so if not successful the money would be gone far too soon

I agree that a million would not be enough.

It would have to be at least 20 million before I'd trade for true happiness.

Thing is... I know this is totally hypothetical but can you really be poor and still truly happy? I mean really?

If you can't afford to send your kids to a better school, or to buy them better / healthier meals, travel, if you depend on others (the state) to make ends meet... Can you still be truly happy?

I know that money doesn't buy happiness and I've met plenty of rich ppl who can vouch for that but money certainly buys every thing else.

As long as maslow's hierarchy of needs is met I'd say yes.....

Increasingly difficult in a society that judges on looks and property tho

Put one million in the bank and don't touch it. The interest is approx 5,000 per year. I couldn't live on 5,000.

If I allow myself 50k per year then it will be gone in 20 years. Just about right for me but not so much for younger people.

No brainer.

A million quid.

Pure happiness is very subjective. One can find happiness in a crackpipe so nah, don't want that.

Forever youth? What age? Still look good for my age so don't need that either

?

1000 000 × 0.02 = 20 000

I could easily live on less xx

Pure happiness. If you're genuinely happy the money won't make you any happier. What good is being forever young if you have to watch the people that make you happy grow old and die, leaving you alone? A bit depressing I know but if you follow the logic it's the only answer.
