pc COA question

I am looking to buy a pc on eeeeebay. Got chatting with the seller.

can anyone explain this?

'the 500GB machines don't have a COA for windows 7 and the windows /office install wouldn't transfer (as it's not an ssd I use the install wouldn't transfer) so I'm not sure if this is really the deal for you.'

Does this mean win 7 is not genuine/licensed? If so, what are the implications?

Any significant hardware change will trigger a need to re-register windows 7 and without a COA you will not be able to do this.

It may be a legal OEM copy of windows with a missing COA or a hoohy upgrade etc. The seller is being honest, this deal is not for you.

he's said he if I give him the ssd - he can put win 7 and office straight onto that.

Would I get pop up's do you think asking to buy a license?

If the coa expires you can download a little program called dazloader which will make it back genuine

just cant really tell why he cant copy the hd to the ssd leaving me with a back up. It's a pain buying something then having to buy a license ontop of that again. If that's what he means...
