"use firefox for now the error you have is a know issue with Chrome. Thank you! you are welcome " So I've downloaded Firefox and went to open it but got: ' you have asked Firefox to connect securely to Mozilla. Org but we can't confirm your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present truted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified' Arrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!

"Have you got the cable to connect to the back of your router? If so use that as it might be something to do with the ip address on the computer. Once connected run the updates and it should work fro then on in via your wifi... if not I vote for the hammer " I did that. Got my updates. Still getting the same messages on Chrome and Firefox. Have switched it off and sulking now.

"is the time and date set properly on the laptop. on the wi0fi network can you connect to it with a putting a password in first?" Time and date correct on the lappy, and yes my WiFi is password protected. It has been suggested that clearing the cache and cookies will help. I switched it off in a strop a while ago, I'll have another go tomorrow when I'm less about it.
