To my lovely chill out evening later, I'll be cooking up a big pan of mussels with a garlicky, wine and cream sauce with a bottle of plonk....life is bliss at times

Nah, they're easy. Give them a scrub and throw away any open ones, then boil them alive and throw away any closed ones.

Nah, they're easy. Give them a scrub and throw away any open ones, then boil them alive and throw away any closed ones.

Yeah I know it's the cleaning bit that seems to take ages. ... especially removing the beards

Has it survived ok, since you were a tester?

The pastel one I've just photographed is iridescent and shiny but it's not come out in the photos. The picture looks quite dull compared to the real thing.

Ive never tried mussels but they're one of those dishes that always looks good,I don't like the texture of shell fish though

Im cooking a roast dinner today as all of us will be here at the same time to eat together and tomorrow im out with friends all afternoon misbehaving
