My partner Sharon ...helps out with the housework and shopping for tom the widow over the road ..

She came home yesterday and said that tom had pinched her arse and said some naughty stuff to her ...wondering how I should handle it ?

Depends if any medical condition means hes not responsible for his actions or if hes just a dirty old man. If its the latter my advice would be tell him it was inappropriate and if it happens again withdraw all help.

If she's not offended by it then I wouldn't do anything. She could if she wanted make a deal out of calling him a "naughty boy" or a "Dirty old man".

You shouldn't handle it, just need to figure out how you feel about Sharon going there alone, then discuss those feelings with her.

A pinched bum as a one off does not constitute an affair and as she told you about it there is nothing to worry about as far as I can see.

Sharon on the other hand has to decide how she wants to handle the situation. I suspect it was friendly flirtation as a thanks for the help she gives.

If you decide you are ok with it and she wants to do it then no reason not to do the housework in a skimpy "french maid" outfit, accept all gropes maybe give some back.

If not then a quiet word from Sharon telling him to stop or she wont come back would stop it. Quite a simple problem really

How old is this bloke ? I note you refer to him as the widow and not as man. For some reason this makes me think of him as older, particularly if he can't cook/clean for himself.

Teasing someone who has been alone for some time and who doesn't know it's just for your cheap thrill isn't a decent thing to do.

If he's in on it then no harm done.

If he's not and he 'reacts' to the teasing - what will you do for him ?

Leave him high and dry ?

Call him a dirty old man like some one above did ?

One early sign of most types of dementia is a breakdown of inhibitions and sexual boundaries. Rather than make light of it (being a tease), remind him of the boundaries, and if possible, speak to a family member (of his) about it.

I speak from experience in this, having had a supposedly straight elderly man make advances to me. A firm but polite no, and a quiet word with his daughter, led to an early diagnosis of dementia, and the right support for him.

I somehow find this a bit wrong, your helping out a neighbour which is excellent, so he's crossed the line and started flirting and touching... To then turn this around to give you both cheap thrills in my mind is wrong, speak to the gentleman and tell him that pinching bums isn't allowed.

be very careful of this situation, should you carry on allowing him to touch and be flirtatious with you and not act in the correct manner you could well be looking at some troubled times ahead...... if this gentleman has relatives who found out you had encouraged him in any way and took things further you could be facing a POVA ( protection of vulnerable adults), which could involve the local authority and possibly the police!!! My advice is explain to him this is not acceptable, then should he continue take a step back and leave the situation. Informing any relatives what has happened and why ...

I agree,its quite creepy and im not sure whos behaviour I find the strangest at the moment,his or the OPs for getting off on encouraging him
