New medicine cure is just what you need

Central

You start working for a pharmaceutical company and several medicines are under test, with employees able to trial them early. One will give you your ideal cure for an ailment you have had for some time, almost like a miracle cure. Side effects should be like taking a vitamin C tablet, from which it has been derived. It is not licensed, so it is a risk. Anything from wrinke cures, weight loss, joint reconstruction via a silk and whatever you imagine is now possible. It is at your own risk, but you have seen other staff treated and healthy. What treatment do you need it for and do you take it? Application for the trial ends today.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I would get rid of my lupus. If it turns out to make things worse then so be it. If it works then my body can be pain free and hopefully I will fall down less.

No. I am lucky my lupus has been mostly in remission for many years but I still get the odd flare and the Meniere's is a result of the lupus.

I'm down to regular blood tests and the odd lung x-ray now.

London.

APS. (a blood clotting disorder)

So common but so little known by the general public. Affects 1:5 and mimics so many diseases. V v easily treated once diagnosed.

I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome 20 years ago. It was the reason I miscarried so many times. I sometimes get sticky blood but it's not consistent in me so thinning can be hit and miss.

London.

Vitamin D levels are normally quite deleted with any form of autoimmune disorder so anyone else who has one should get their levels checked.

I have PVNS in both knee's. I've had 3 surgeries, take a crazy combination of drugs and need a full joint replacement at 30 which the NHS are reluctant to give me. Even so much as a possibility that 1 pill could cure it, I'd absolutely take it. Anything would be worth a try.

Omg Lickety, I didn't realise you had it to. My pregnancies triggered my APS too but luckily my babies where ok. Was in hospital for ages pre and post birth and nearly died with clots 3 days post discharge. Have to take warfarin now.

What meds are you on? You under B. Hunt too?

I feel humbled now and realise how lucky I am. After my dad died recently from cancer Id like a test and cure if I carry his genetic potential to have it. I wouldnt care about the risk, Id do it even though its not an official tested and studied drug yet.

I decided to go drug free years ago. For this and the lupus. When I am sticky I take heparin but I just get tested regularly and deal with it as it presents. I now tell every woman I know who has had three miscarriages to get the test.

"Taking a daily dose of aspirin combined with something like Adcal could be beneficial..."

I take a combined calcium and Vit D chewy and add aspirin if I feel sluggish. If the tests come back showing I'm sticky I take the heparin, as that makes sense.

Only one little TIA 13 years ago and I am rarely off ill.

I'm awfully blunt and straight talking, I find its best not to sugar coat things.

That tends to burn after a minute or two so I use it as a last resort punishment for not taking meds at the correct times...

Shame that such a small window of opportunity for reliable testing exists though. Otherwise false negatives are recorded.

A pill to cure my PCOS as that would solve so many issues and as it's not life threatening there is very little help for pcos sufferers the treat issues from PCOS rather than PCOS as a whole
