Pretty much anything that is a good story. I can take my brain out and enjoy and Andy Mcnabb or a Jack reacher - but loved 1000 Splendid Suns for example.

I am with books the same as I am in bed - easy to please !!

'The Jigsaw Man' and 'Picking Up The Pieces' both by Paul Britton are excellent if you like non fiction.

If you were female I'd recommend The Wrong Knickers, very funny book.

I enjoyed 'Tis but, because he was older, it didn't have the same impact. Ashes was such an emotional rollercoaster and I'm guessing many people would never believe such suffering was alive and well in 20th century Ireland.

New Jo Nesbo out this week. The main character is like a Norwegian version of Rebus but much much darker.

If you want to leave your brain at home too and just have a giggle, last holiday I had I took 'An Idiot Abroad' and

'An Idiot Abroad 2' with me.

Easy reading, admittedly not very intellectual, but good fun! But I'd read them both within a couple of days.
