Well I am hopeful our friendship wasn't just a figment of my imagination and she'll say hello again

I did overhead someone on a bus telling someone on the other end of their call that they were "just conversating" so maybe the art of conversation is dead.

I think you have to have good conversation to have good sex. Both depend on having an equal understanding. The conversations after sex are the most special

looking at the replies you have I can only agree but on the other hand this is a swinging site and no one ever said that conversation and sex had to mix.

There's a difference between talking 'at' someone, to talking 'with' someone.

I think I must agree with you. I find a good conversation with a good to and fro so.much fun. Pity it doesn't happen often on here.

The problem is a conversation needs to be started and unless you message someone who likes the look of you then that conversation will never take off. I'm mostly here to have conversations with anyone about abything sometimes flirty, sometimes intellectual, sometime General banter. I never ignore a message because you don't know anything about the person messaging you until you chat. A profile is someone's chance to sell themselves but of they happen to be bad at it you could be missing out. I understand some profiles are just terrible and you'd never want to chat to that person but sometimes you can find a hidden gem just with a couple of messages. Granted men find it easier as they don't get anywhere near as many messages as the amazing women on here. So my point after all that drivel is as difficult as it is to send that first message and try to start a conversation try to reply and see if that person whose profile might put you off a bit might just be a hidden gem
