Was out with the family for a meal and kinda posh the place .. Ordering the food and noticed the big breakfast !!seved only till 11... Ok I understand

Lunch menu seved only till 2 !! Ye get that as we'll

Tea time starts at 4 and nearly 5

cooking...

I order gammon steak chips and peas a portion of onion rings and for the perfect finish!!!!

And can I have a fried egg on top of the gammon???

Replie... Sorry sir we don't do eggs after 4...

Why?? That's just the policy/rules

Do you have eggs?? Yes of course

Ok can I have one then? Sorry policy

Ok can chef fry an egg? Of course

So no reason other than the policy? Yes

I'm afraid the OP is completely right, Hitler ordered the annexing of Poland after discovering a cafe in the west of Warsaw was serving eggs Benedict as part of their evening menu. This enraged the Furher who felt eggs were either a breakfast or lunch item.

Thankfully Britain took a stand against this oeuf inspired tyranny and established the right to egg at any time of day.

I for one will not be visiting the aforementioned cafe with its abhorrent egg policy.

Amazing! No eggs.

A little old man went into a butchers and asked for a nice piece of cod.

The butcher said "We don't sell cod, how about some bacon?"

There is a theory that any post, blog etc which is left to run long enough will eventually have a reference to Nazis in it. This one didn't even bother waiting just jamp straight in. And I still don't get it. Did the description of the item in the menu state comes with a fried egg or that fried egg was an available side order? If not no grounds for complaint.

A very good reply but not quite true. Apparently it was the other way around.

It was because the Poles refused to sell eggs 24/7 that a high ranking Nazi, namely Himmler, who was also a poultry farmer (that bit really is true) lobbied Hitler to force the Poles to eat more eggs and the rest is history.
