London

Robin Cook - king of medical thriller

Although this genre is not really my bag, I very much enjoyed Misery by Stephen King.

Congratulations on buying KIndle. You will love it

I quite like Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, a bit formulaic but easy reading and entertaining.

As mentioned above. Lee Child is good (I'm currently reading 61 hours)

Also enjoy Harlan Corben.

Nothing too demanding

Cheeseville, Somerset

Can't beat a good bit of James Herbert.

More horror than thriller - but he was a genius!

Neil Gaiman's books are wonderful.

I see somebody mention free books for kindle, you can Get any book for kindle free now, through similar methods to music piracy, if you can morally justify it!

I like the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell.

Dean Koontz - The Outsider is pretty good too.

The Eight - Can't remember the Author sorry

Titz Towers, North Notts

Alistair McLean is good for thrillers and The Eagle has Landed by J Higgins is pretty nifty.

However, a good farce by PG Wodehouse is hard to beat. The body count is low and the number of engagements avoided high, but they are funny.

Like _icecouple561 have said kindle free books but keep checking maybe everyday as sometimes a book you want may just be free a few days later.

My kindle is full of thrillers at the minute I'm reading some from 1907.

I have read some great free books, my two favourites being "Speak Swahili Dammit" and a diary written by an American woman from the early last century until early this century. Neither are free now though. I have also read some dire publications that would serve very well as an argument against self publishing

Edinburgh

I read a lot of crime fiction (and non-fiction) so I could recommend some of those but I'm not sure they class as thrillers.

I've also just read A Million Little Pieces by James Frey and whilst I'm not really a fan of biographies as such it was pretty raw and a fascinating insight to addiction.

Try the Chris Carter books they are a good read and if you have plenty of time to spare you could try the dark tower series by Stephen King ( not exactly thriller but they will screw with your mind). All the lee child books are good and you could try one of his short stories (only available on Kindle) to see what you think.

Matthew Reilly has done some very fast paced action thrillers also Clive Cussler is good too.

Dale Brown for military thrillers
